@Gravelax3 @AlexTaylorNews @anandMenon1 Think you miss one big elephant in the room. Even if Scotland meet all the criterias to jon and the EU agreed. How would the billions required for yearly membership be generated? Don't say oil as that would reduce revenue for internal schemes such as NHS, Security etc.

I'll disappoint Rejoiner followers but 100% agree with @anandMenon1 👇 I for one have given up reacting on here to the endless entitled navel-gazing stuff in UK media & politics about the UK just having to click its fingers for a "desperate" EU to welcome it back on any terms. The discussions would be long, hard, definitely 𝒏𝒐𝒕 on the UK's terms and absolutely without all the "bells and whistle" special refunds and opt-outs the UK had before - and even then, is the EU really that "bothered" these days when enough idiots still see dodgy Farage as their PM ?

@spectator This Highlights issue in UK, clash of cultures & fact discrimination / racism is only seen through 1 perspective, White v Non White. Truth is racism & discrimination is in ALL cultures. I have no problem with ppl having different views, but in uk British culture takes precedence.

The Green party attracted many Muslim voters in the local elections, but are cracks starting to show on some 'progressive' issues? Journalist Andrew Gilligan confronts Birmingham political activist Shakeel Afsar over protests that took place outside Anderton Park school against 'LGBT inclusive' lessons, that a senior judge ruled "grossly misrepresented" what was actually being taught. @NatashaFeroze | @mragilligan | @ShakeelAfsar8

@knowles204 @LBC Losing 700k off benefits would make a massive difference. I accept some of those jobs are specialised and not everyone could do them. I have an issue with the term poverty. Having worked in a sector that had regular contact with many on benefits rhetoric does not match fact.

@GuidoFawkes IMO vote on Thurs wasn't about Reform / Farage, per se. It was about voters wanting to regain their & our national identity instead of following EU & none nationals ideology. If it had been just a generic protest vote, surely Greens and Lib Dems would have done better.

@knowles204 @LBC 1.7m are not working. Some will be genuine but how many are not and could work & obtain some top up benefits where appropriate. Biggest misnomer IMO is the living wage rhetoric as it is subjective. Ppl have survived for generations without by working and living within their means

@BBCPolitics This is not just a Reform issue it goes across ALL parties. Politics seems to be the only organisation where having a shady past is a bonus. I find it funny in other public occupations people get hit with maleficence in a public office. But not MP's and councillors. Says it all

@annewitha_e @SkyNews If the feeling for independence was that strong, considering the election was framed by SNP as a referendum, why did they not have a total landslide victory?

@SkyNews it's always wonderful and amusing to watch the English media attempt to interpret Scottish General Election results from the prism of London politics. It isn't how it is. We DEMAND a referendum, that's how it is.

@spikedonline Been elected is the simpler of the tasks reform are going to have to face. Now they MUST deliver and deliver practical not just in rhetoric or do they not risk been wiped out at the next election like Lib Dems in 2015

The English have revolted. The Reform surge is not just a protest vote. It’s a people-led insurgency against the reckless ideology of globalism. These voters want our borders repaired and our national pride restored. Listen to them, says Brendan O’Neill buff.ly/VT57Ra3

@BenKentish Is this actually about Stamer or is it far simpler that voters are showing they are sick of left wing rhetoric and politics? They could have gone more middle of the road with Lib Dems instead looked to Reform. Says it all.

Plenty of differences but worth noting that UKIP got 22% in the 2013 local elections and just 13% in the general election two years later. Lots that could change between now and the next general election: 🌹Labour getting its act together/choosing a more popular leader??? 🔵Gradual Tory resurgence continuing? 🟩Polanski’s Green surge slowing/reversing? 🧐 More scrutiny of Farage, plus public concerns about his suitability to be PM coming to the fore. In short: clearly a big shift in British politics is underway but beware of hasty conclusions being drawn about the next election.

@SkyNews If the Green Party, Lib Dems or any of the other fringe parties do not make massive gains at these elections than how can any result be deemed a success. I would say it is a massive negative on their policies.

@Greenthumb8891 @LBC Fair point on the arrests, but it was not my intention to deflect, I was just pointing out a fact. What i was trying to point out certain elements on these marches are using it for their own benefit and in doing so deflect from the true issues. Which protest movement do you mean?

@Andy11760353 @LBC You've moved the goalposts. My original comment was about LBC misrepresenting a well-known liberation chant to paint an entire protest movement as hateful. You introduced arrests. So the question about who's deflecting from the real issue is one you might want to ask yourself.

@snowleopardess How were the police officers in that moment supposed to know he had mental health issues. The video footage shows even though he had been tasered he still held the knife. Put on a uniform before criticising. You are not about injustice, you simply want to promote your views.

@Greenthumb8891 @LBC I did not frame the march as anything, in fact I did not mention the march. I merely pointed out that people were not arrested for protesting genocide. IMO the only person trying to label anything is yourself. Or are you happy for people to break the law?

@Greenthumb8891 @LBC The people arrested on these marches were not arrested for protesting against genocide, they were arrested for supporting a proscribed organisation. It is those arrested who you should be criticising for deflecting from the real issue.

@LBC This is why the media has no credibility anymore. When you try to frame a protest against genocide as a 'hate march', people see your dishonesty and think 'Well what else are they lying about?'
