Property tax isn't a fee for service. It's a penalty for owning a nicer home. Three houses on the same road. Same fire truck. Same sheriff. Same snowplow. One pays $5,000. One pays $2,500. One pays $1,250. If it were a fee for service, they'd all pay the same. They don't. Because it was never about services. A Bonner County woman's family has owned their property for 116 years. The house never burned down. Most of those decades, no kids in school. But the bill went up every single year. Property tax is a penalty for owning property the market decided is worth more. There is no fairness in that system. Idaho has the revenue to fund services without it. I'm fighting to eliminate it entirely.

Wisconsin, it’s time for relief. I’m supporting Tom Tiffany for Governor because he’s one of us. Growing up milking cows on a dairy farm, running a small business with his wife Chris in the Northwoods for two decades, and serving as a dam tender on the Willow Flowage for 29 years, Tom Tiffany learned the value of hard work, strong communities, and protecting the Wisconsin we love. He gets what families and small businesses are up against. That’s why, as Governor, Tom will deliver results on the issues that matter most: ✅ Freeze property taxes & repeal Evers’ massive tax increase ✅ End state taxes on tips & overtime — more money in working families’ pockets ✅ Cut red tape to lower housing, childcare & healthcare costs ✅ Drive down energy costs with reliable power ✅ Stop Wall Street from buying our homes & Big Data from bulldozing farmland ✅ Fix our schools with higher standards, honest report cards, better pay for great teachers, and real education in reading, writing & math for every child Tom Tiffany has the record, the values, and the fight Wisconsin needs. I’m voting for him, are you? #Wisconsin #VoteRed #Midterms2026 #TomTiffany #Republicans

As a taxpaying resident of Wisconsin, I demand a Wisconsin state law that requires anti-fascist and anti-communist curriculum in our public schools K-12. Ron DeSantis was able to get this passed and I expect Wisconsin to do the same when Tom Tiffany is elected.

“Billions in taxpayer money flow through Congress as they work just 133 days and earn $174K salaries. What are we paying for?” $810M in allowances, up to 18 staffers each, massive operating costs. Billions in waste with NOTHING to show for it. This is institutionalized FRAUD.

@RonDeSantis and the kids vouchers are used for those kids, parents that are assisting and the technology and AI learning. The cost would be 10% of the current system and the results would be much better.

@RonDeSantis With AI it is time to get rid of the public education system. It is ineffective and more of a liberal indoctrination center. Each child should take their own school voucher with them to neighborhood learning pods, local mom or dad's assist with 10 to 12 kids in the neighborhood

In Florida, homeschooling parents receive about $10,000 per homeschooled child each year. For public school students in Florida, about $10,000 of the annual cost per student goes towards teacher and staff salaries and benefits. Teachers and staff members get to spend their earnings on whatever they want, but homeschooling parents are required to spend all of their $10,000 per child on educational expenses like instructional materials, tutoring, classes, testing, books, etc. If you're a parent in Florida who homeschools 4 children instead of working a full time job, why shouldn't you be able to spend that $40,000 on anything your family needs - just like a public school teacher who earns $40,000 per year that they can spend however they like? This policy sounds like it's leveling the playing field but it's really still requiring homeschoolers to accept a much lower standard of living than families involved the public schooling system.

I do not support increasing teacher pay. The reality is that public school teachers work 2/3rds of the year, receive better benefits than nearly everyone, and work less. It’s worth noting that private school teachers almost universally are paid less than public school teachers, yet have universally better results from students. It’s not about pay. It’s about culture. And the culture that public schools inculcate is not beneficial for society.
Erin Derham@HistoryBoutique

I FULLY support increasing teachers pay, but… this is not about teachers pay. Dems have co-opted teachers around the country into protesting against the current administration. All in the name of an obvious issue, low salaries. It’s smoke and mirrors, folks. The number of administrators has grown 20 times larger than the number of students. Admissions are declining. Literacy is declining. The real answer if you actually care about teachers… Mass deportations and firing of bloated administrations.

Teachers across Wisconsin are getting their jollies protesting for socialism today. Have at it. But the people they are supposed to be working for and who are paying their salaries are fully aware of the following. You're testing their patience and it's starting to wear out.

If Obamacare was so great, why do Dems constantly say republicans refuse to bail it out? If 1.5 million people voluntarily dropped Obamacare in 2024, why did it need so much more money? If the government’s role in education made college more accessible to everyone, why did tuition outpace every other metric on Earth? Ladies & gentlemen, government is really bad at your life

@texasrunnerDFW It really is not carried by young working families. Most income taxes are paid by the top 10 percent and sales tax instead of property taxes, should make those young families think twice about voting for all these expensive school referendums.

What people who want to cancel property taxes are really advocating for is higher sales taxes and higher income tax The burden of both those is disproportionately carried by young, working families at the height of their income and consumption stage in life

Over the past week, I held 8 listening sessions across the 32nd District. One of the top issues came up again and again: rising property taxes. Thanks to the Governor’s “400-year veto,” property taxes could increase every year for the next FOUR CENTURIES. Republicans moved to repeal it. The Governor said no—telling families to “just deal with it.” We shouldn’t have to “deal” with 400 years of higher taxes. The governor is not a king. That’s why I authored a constitutional amendment on your November ballot to ensure NO governor—of either party—can ever use the veto pen to raise your taxes again.
