@galeabrewer Ronnie was the greatest--an activist on a wide range of progressive social justice issues but people forget she was the go-to person on gay issues in the 2nd Lindsay administration in 1970--less than a year after the Stonewall Rebellion.

@RepJerryNadler They can still have the flags inside the museum. They have to follow the federal laws like everyone else.

This is another disgusting example of the Trump Administration's effort to erase the LGBTQ+ community. Removing the Pride flag will not make us forget the legacy of Stonewall. I fought for Stonewall to become designated as a National Monument and I will fight to see that the Pride flag is raised again.

@erpickard @RepJerryNadler The ONLY reason this was made a national monument is because it is the historic site of the 1969 Stonewall Rebellion that sparked the modern LGBTQ movement. Park Service was telling the story of the Rebellion until Trump's destructive second term vs. LGBTQ and people of color.
