A fantastic teacher said to me yesterday ‘the biggest problem in schools today is that too many children don’t care, it’s a growing number, so much effort to get them to do anything (in general terms)’. Pupils are provided an unprecedented standard of teaching and learning, more support and opt out opportunities than ever before. The passivity is a huge problem and this isn’t about teachers and schools IMO.

I’m buying school uniform for the first time 🥺 Experienced parents… would you recommend trainers instead of normal school shoes? I have a very active boy and have seen the state of some expensive smart shoes that are worn in Reception! Any other tips welcome!

Teachers are now eligible for a @bluelightcard. My boy has one due to working in NHS. The website is rather busy at the moment but, fellow teachers, make sure you get yours as they are really worth it. (Before anyone asks I don’t know)
