@tincanblower You may want to check whether your house has Protectjve Multiple Earthing before going anywhere near the mains earth. Kevin at NARC would be the person to speak to about this.

Dear #hamradio friends, For the first time in over 20 years of being licensed I have the chance for a shack at home. It will be upstairs and I need to have a way to quickly attach or disconnect antennas. My thought is to run decent coax through the wall into a waterproof box 1/3

As it’s been bullet proof for the last 3yrs I had it, prior to that I had the 1.3 and it blew up twice! Was told it was something to do with SWR, same antennas on both amps so go figure.

@G0MFR @2m0sql @g7soz @M5RIC Radiosport is my choice these days, nice heavy duty frame headset that’s not prone to breaking and I always get good reports when contesting. Heil are ok but I’ve had 3 sets and all have broken one way or another
