I used AI to visualize the high-fidelity Jurassic Park VR game I’ve been waiting 30 years for. Keep an eye out on the channel as I will have a full length video that goes much more in depth into my dream Jurassic VR game including concepts, mechanics, and more.

VR will be for the extreme enthusiasts with this next wave of headset. Steam frame will look like a bargain at $999. Road shows and VR creators will be the only way a lot will experience it. Good and bad but it’s also going to mean slower next gen’s too.

@Turbolunch Its lowest will be $799 but I still think it’s going to be $999 either way that’s not a cheap headset. Saying that though my point is it will be the cheapest of the next set of headsets

@AdamDraper I don’t think it’s dead, but it isn’t going to be main stream at the new prices most will hit. People won’t like it that steam frame will be $999 let alone the other headsets being 2k and up

Now hear me out… VR is coming back.

Most things that would take a team of 10 now take a team of 1. Jobs just aren’t going to be available. I’m not against Ai. I use it daily. But understand jobs just arent going to be there is scary.

Possibly the only things that will survive is the design side, it still needs a human touch. But devs are as the kids say cooked.

I’ve been in the web industry for over 15 years professionally and I can confirm Ai is taking all the jobs. I believe I’ve got 6 -12 months left in my current job that I assumed was safe until retirement.

@SamCole The big issue now is pricing. All the headset coming up (apart from steam frame) are going to be north of 2k. Meta with its aggressive pricing up till now has really set the bar way to low and people don’t want to pay it.

VR is like a football team that was massively hyped to win the Championship. But, they got ahead of themselves... tried to do too many things at once and ultimately failed Then had a few tough seasons and ultimately got relegated Now in the second division, everyones written them off, but they're determined. They're focussing on the fundamentals and it's working. Promotion in 2026 Champions in 2028

@davepgames Don't get me wrong i've been looking for one but back then I wasn't interested at all. The Saturn ruined Sega for me. PS2 just seemed to take over. I think back and remember thinking Gran Turismo looked so real. Often makes me think in 20 years will others do the same with ps5

@AndyMorphs I think dreamcast was the most fun I’ve ever had gaming. I remember Virtua Tennis being the first time I thought I could recognise the characters in a video game as their real world counterparts.

I forgot how insanely good the ps1 was. The late 90s early 00s was PEAK gaming!

Can steam frame saving VR gaming?

I’m taking a break away from X to concentrate on actually making videos. The current state of VR, Tech and the World has really made me sit down and think. What do I want. What is my goal. Posting on here doesn’t help.
