Statements that have now come to light from a handful of @TheGreenParty candidates are totally unacceptable & require immediate action. There’s no place for anti-semitism or any hate speech in the party. This is a society-wide problem & needs to be rooted out wherever it’s found

@wesstreeting This is a disgrace, and possibly illegal. I assume that @bphillipsonMP will be in contact with the head of the school instructing them to invite an MP from Conservatives, LiberalDemocrats, Reform, Green, and others to put forward their position.

@Adrian_Hilton Adrian, education in Britain has always been dominated by the narrative of left wing politics. Hopefully these lads get a different perspective from their family.

I don't know what school this is, but unless the headteacher has invited a Reform UK politician (and others) to rebut this disinformation and to give a balancing view, this electioneering is a blatant contravention of Part V, Chapter IV, Sections 406-7 of the Education Act 1996.

@Steve_Cooke @simonmontefiore The awful thing is that it’s not landing, being accused of Antisemitism doesn’t seem to be a problem, in fact I think some people just think it means you’re Anti Isreal and they see that as wholly positive. I just don’t see people standing up against this in the numbers needed.

@JChimirie66677 Jim in previous posts you have summarised this government’s China bias. Your is Starmer compromised post asks questions that we will likely never get answered. The decisions are in plain view. As you have said, the question is why are these decisions being taken.

Miliband's Secret. China's Opportunity. Ed Miliband promised the public two things. Bills would come down. The grid would be secure. This week, evidence emerged that he has been actively suppressing analysis that undermines the first promise, while the architecture of his energy policy systematically undermines the second. Start with the cover-up. Miliband scrapped zonal pricing last July, overriding his own civil servants who had backed the reform. He did so after wind farm developers warned it would reduce their profits and threaten his 2030 clean power target. He then promised a full cost-benefit analysis by the end of last year. His department took five months to respond to a Freedom of Information request, in breach of the legal requirement of twenty working days. It has since blocked release of the impact assessment, claiming the document is unfinished, while simultaneously insisting the policy is definitively closed. Those two positions are mutually exclusive. His department's own director admitted the public interest favours disclosure before refusing it anyway. The reason given for continued suppression: releasing the document might disrupt energy markets. No evidence was provided for that claim. What the suppressed analysis likely shows is what independent research already suggests. Zonal pricing would have cut household bills by reducing the fees paid to wind farms to switch off when the grid cannot absorb their power. That wasted wind bill hit a record £1.5 billion last year. Miliband sided with the generators over consumers. The analysis that proves it remains locked in a ministerial drawer. The grid security picture is worse. Britain's electricity network is being radically restructured. Hundreds of internet-connected generators are being added to a system that once linked a handful of large power stations. Each connection is a potential entry point. The chief executive of Hitachi Energy, which supplies transformers to the UK grid, has said plainly that cyber attack on power infrastructure is not a question of if but when. Poland's green energy network was penetrated by hackers, almost certainly Russian, through communications terminals embedded in thirty wind and solar farms. Britain is one of the world's top targets for hostile cyber attack, with around one in four European attacks aimed at British companies and utilities last year. Against that backdrop, the sourcing of Britain's new grid infrastructure demands scrutiny it is not receiving. Most of Britain's critical electrical components, smart turbines, solar panels and switchgear, come from China. US intelligence services have warned explicitly against growing reliance on Chinese-sourced energy technology. Claire Coutinho has raised it in Parliament. The warnings have been ignored. The question of who is advising the Prime Minister on these risks sits uncomfortably alongside the sourcing decisions being made. Jonathan Powell, the National Security Adviser, maintained extensive relationships with PLA-connected Chinese officials through his private consultancy before and during his government role. Every parliamentary question about his vetting arrangements and the content of those meetings has been blocked. The government's justification uses language identical to that deployed to block questions about Mandelson. Powell's vetting status has never been confirmed. The man responsible for advising on Britain's national security posture has undisclosed connections to the state whose components are being embedded throughout Britain's most critical infrastructure. Parliament has been refused the information needed to assess whether that is a problem. Miliband says the public should be reassured. A minister who suppressed his own analysis, overrode his civil servants to protect wind farm profits, and is wiring China into Britain's critical infrastructure against the warnings of Britain's closest ally has not earned that word.

Two Candidates Arrested. One Leader Playing the Victim. One Party Calling It Peace. Zack Polanski retweeted a post accusing the officers who stopped an antisemitic terrorist attacker of repeatedly and violently kicking a mentally ill man in the head while two Jewish victims were still in hospital. The Metropolitan Police Commissioner wrote to him personally, correcting the factual record, warning of the chilling effect on officer confidence and defending the men who ran toward a knife wielding terrorist armed only with a discharged taser and their courage. Polanski deleted the post, apologised and then, four days later, accused the Commissioner of meddling in the local elections. Polanski caused the situation. He is now complaining about the response to it. That is the sequence and it deserves to be stated clearly. The body camera footage released by the Met tells the story the original post did not. Essa Suleiman approached officers with a knife after being tasered and fell to the ground still wielding it. Officers kicked a man who was continuing to try to stab them as he lay in the street. The Met called it true courage. Polanski called it traumatic. The Shomrim volunteer who helped detain Suleiman told Chris Philp that the man would have tried to kill more people if allowed to continue. Polanski found the footage distressing. The distinction between those two responses is rather the point. But the most revealing observation in the entire episode is buried beneath all the noise. Polanski said that Jewish people who feel unsafe at pro-Palestinian marches only perceive themselves to be unsafe. His words. He attends those marches as a Jewish person, therefore the marches are safe, therefore Jewish fear of them is a matter of perception rather than reality. Two Jewish men were stabbed in Golders Green by a man operating within the ideological atmosphere those marches have spent two and a half years building. The Chief Rabbi has warned of a sustained effort to terrorise the Jewish people. Jewish families are changing their names and making plans to leave. The Campaign Against Antisemitism has documented record levels of antisemitic incidents. And the co-leader of a party whose activists described Jews as an abomination to this planet in private WhatsApp groups is telling British Jews that their fear is not real. It is perceived. On the same day Polanski accused the Commissioner of election meddling, two Green Party candidates in London had been arrested on suspicion of stirring up racial hatred through antisemitic posts online. Saiqa Ali posted content showing a man in a Hamas headband beneath the slogan resistance is freedom. Hamas is a proscribed terrorist organisation. Sabine Mairey posted content stating that ramming a synagogue is not antisemitism, it is revenge. Both will still appear on ballot papers because the arrests came too late to remove them. The Green Party is fielding candidates arrested for alleged antisemitic posts while accusing everyone who points this out of using antisemitism as a political football. Polanski says he is the only Jewish leader of a major political party and suffers antisemitic abuse every day. Both may be true. Neither addresses the specific charge. The Commissioner's letter was not antisemitic. It was a factual rebuttal of inaccurate content posted by a politician with a large public platform hours after a terrorist attack on Jewish people. Invoking Jewish identity to deflect institutional criticism is not a rebuttal. It is a shield. Polanski retweeted the post. He amplified the content. He caused the row. The Commissioner responded. And Polanski is now the victim. The sequence is the story. "The Green Party is fielding candidates arrested for alleged antisemitic posts while accusing everyone who points this out of using antisemitism as a political football."

Funny. Keir Starmer says he understands the pressure police officers are under while trying to apprehend a terrorist. But Starmer is pursuing soldiers through the courts for exactly those split-second judgments made in fear. What a liar.
Nick Robinson@bbcnickrobinson

I’ve just been interviewing @Keir_Starmer for @BBCr4today who says he met the police officers who tasered the suspect in the Golders Green stabbing “I want everybody just to imagine what it might be like. You're trying to arrest someone who has already attacked two people and has no regard for life. We know that tasers were fired. I know from my own experience with the police, that there are only two shots in a taser, and once you've shot them, there's nothing left. There's a guy on the ground, he's got a rucksack on. And I don't know what was going through the mind of those officers, but if I was there, I'd be thinking, he's going to detonate something. He's going to blow me up and everybody around here. In those circumstances, I think you can quite see why what could have gone through their mind is, we need to do whatever we can to disable this guy." He added: "Now, when I then see Zak Polanski come out and retweet or support a criticism of that, I think it's disgraceful... He's not fit to lead any political party." 🚨 MEET ZOE ROGERS 🚨 22. Bristol, UK. She stood in court and claimed she “saved innocent lives.” Here’s what that looked like: August 6, 2024. 3AM. A van smashed through the gates of a weapons facility in Bristol. Drones and equipment smashed with sledgehammers. Red paint everywhere. Then police arrived. One of her comrades struck a female Sergeant in the back with a sledgehammer, fracturing her spine. That's the “activism” Zoe Rogers is proud of. Then she stood in court and congratulated herself. “I can say with absolute certainty that this is the best thing I’ve ever done…” “I’m proud…” No, Zoe. You are not a hero. You are not a freedom fighter. You’re standing on a woman’s fractured spine and calling it courage. Shameful.

George, the timeline answers your question more powerfully than any placard order date could. October 7th, 6:30am. Hamas launches its attack. 1,200 people murdered. 251 taken hostage. The Nova music festival massacre is still ongoing. Families are still being dragged from their homes. October 7th, 12:50pm. The Palestine Solidarity Campaign contacts the Metropolitan Police to request a national march against Israel. This is documented via a Freedom of Information request obtained by the Jewish Chronicle. Hamas militants are still actively killing at this moment. Israel has not declared war. It has not conducted a single retaliatory strike. It has not entered Gaza. October 9th. The first march takes place. Hundreds march through Kensington High Street outside the Israeli embassy. Placards ready. Slogans ready. Infrastructure deployed. October 13th. Six days after the attack and four days after the first march, Israel drops evacuation leaflets over Gaza City warning over one million civilians to move south before any military operation begins. Hamas instructs residents to ignore the warnings and stay put. October 27th. Twenty days after the Hamas attack and two weeks after the evacuation leaflets, Israel launches its full scale ground invasion of Gaza. Now look at the placards. The Palestine Solidarity Campaign organised the October 9th march. Their name is on every placard. They were the organisation that made the 12:50pm call on October 7th. Professional branded placards in those quantities require a minimum of 48 to 72 hours for commercial printing, artwork sign off, scheduling and delivery. The march was two days after the call. The order was almost certainly placed before the attack began. That is a logical inference from the logistics. The 12:50pm call is documented fact. The protests were not a reaction to Israeli military action. They were ready and deployed before Israel had taken a single military step inside Gaza. The genocide placards were printed before the military operation being called a genocide had begun. The infrastructure of protest, the slogans, the networks, the funding, was built long before October 7th and October 7th was the trigger it was waiting for.
