I'm delighted that 'A Family Affair' has been shortlisted in the RNA awards (crime thriller category) to be held in London in May. It's a story about the complex Gardia family which I hope will have the reader turning the pages well into the night! It's available to read on #KindleUnlimited #newrelease #booksworthreading mybook.to/8Mtw

Just spotted a fellow indie author, Kathrine Secord, popping up in my recommendations alongside the major bestsellers! 📖🔥 Seeing her crime thriller, 'Well-Laid Plans,' in that lineup is a massive win for the organic grind. I’m navigating the same steep climb with my debut, so I know how much this visibility matters. Let’s give this book some love! ✍️🛡️ #WritingCommunity #IndieAuthors #ThePartyNeverEnds #CrimeFiction

A remote retreat. A deadly storm. And nowhere to run. Lizzy came to escape pressure and commitment. Now, she's just hoping to escape alive.

That’s a great distinction. It’s easy to blame the ‘bot,’ but knowing there’s a human element makes the inconsistencies even more interesting. 🧐 Trying to track down one of those 'curators' sounds like a mission in itself! For now, I’m going to stay focused on the work and let the reviews land where they may. Thanks for the inside baseball on this—it’s good to know the gears behind the machine.

@AndyZamoraBooks Just to follow on this point Andy, reviews on Amazon are supposed to be curated by 'Humans'. They can be contacted if you know one has been missed (should you come to know), but issues are not necessarily algorithmic.

Woke up to a disappearing Amazon review. 📉 It’s frustrating when you’re grinding for every single organic star, but I’m not letting it slow me down. This is exactly why I’m sticking to the 'straight arrow' path—legitimate reviews are worth the struggle, even when the algorithms get aggressive. Back to the StoryOrigin radar! ✍️🔥 #WritingCommunity #IndieAuthors #ThePartyNeverEnds

Spot on. That 'disconnect' is exactly why I'm focusing on building a real community here rather than just chasing a number. If the reviews are going to be as volatile as followers, then the only thing that actually lasts is the integrity of the work and the people who support it. Really appreciate the perspective!

@AndyZamoraBooks Yes, it's a mystery and somewhat contradictory. At some point we expect Reviews to be as disassociated as Followers are now on SM. It's fine should you pursue the good ones, but there are many issues with others, already causing disconnects. You're very welcome re: the support 👍

@ToddVercoe 😬 I remember when I had a car payment less than that. Actually your total is not to far from my current one!

That’s the million-dollar question! It’s definitely frustrating to see the algorithm miss the 'obvious' ones while snatching up a genuine review from a reader who actually spent time with the story. 📉 I guess that’s just part of the 'straight arrow' climb. I'd rather lose a few to a glitchy algorithm than risk the whole account on a shortcut. Appreciate the support! ✍️

@AndyZamoraBooks How come is disappeared? We know people that clearly use their spouses for Amazon Reviews and they make it through, whilst genuine ones for other people fail. It's so disappointing when things like this are heard.

Conflict is just part of the journey.✍️ It’s not always easy to stick to your principles when the 'fast track' is dangled in front of you, but the peace of mind is worth it. Huge thanks to the real ones in the #WritingCommunity who keep it honest. Let's keep building something that lasts. 🥃🐢 #IndieAuthors #ThePartyNeverEnds

@Quill_lux Exactly, Quillux! It definitely feels like a climb today, but knowing the foundation is solid makes it worth the effort. I’d rather have 3 real stars than 30 that could vanish (or take my account with them) tomorrow. Thanks for the encouragement! ✍️

@AndyZamoraBooks Amazon's algorithm is brutal, but you're right - legitimate reviews are the only foundation that lasts. The grind sucks, but you're building something real that won't get nuked tomorrow.

I’m sure I will, Hailey. I’m learning every single day—about the industry, the algorithms, and most importantly, about the kind of author I want to be. I know the organic path is steep, and there's a risk of being 'dead in the water,' but I'd rather face that with my integrity intact than take a shortcut. I poured my heart into The Party Never Ends for over a year while working my day job; I owe it to that hard work to do this the honest way. I appreciate your perspective, though! Wishing you the best.

Found out the disappearing review was a great one from a reader who genuinely enjoyed the story. 📉💔 It’s a reminder that the path to 20 organic reviews isn't a straight line—it’s a climb. Staying focused, staying 'straight as an arrow,' and heading back to StoryOrigin to find the next reader. The hustle continues! ✍️🔥 #ThePartyNeverEnds #WritingCommunity #IndieAuthor
