I may be wrong but I think Trump is waiting for a massive US marine and special forces contingent to arrive fully in the Middle East to start the next phase of the conflict which will involve seizing strategic islands and potential operations to capture nuclear materials.

President Trump is working to get peace with Iran, if he can make this happen it will be a very good thing for our nation & our allies in the Gulf. The Israelis will be against this, but POTUS is strong & can get them on board.
