This weekend my mom said she no longer recognized me as the woman she raised me to be. That’s probably true - I speak in church now and eschew patriarchy. Praying last night & lamenting God told me I’m becoming the daughter He raised me up to be. And that is no small thing.

It’s great that he’s being recognized for his attention to detail, consistency, and top performance. I help him organize his thoughts into an outline he could talk from just to stay organized. Hoping he crushes it!!

On a more serious note, Sidney’s market manager said his scheduling is one of the best in the region and asked him to give a little spiel on a call today about what he’s doing. Apparently most of the managers use the scheduling tool as is. No adaptations.

It’s kind of awesome that after twenty years of marriage you can still make your husband say “Damn baby!” in the best way possible. IYKYK

@Liedora2 ...but I had (fake) Spanish moss braided into some of her little braids and hair. Her friend did her makeup since they went up the night before. She made most of the jewelry and leather satchels too. She even had glass spell bottles with moss and rocks and bones.

My youngest daughter made me homemade tiramisu for Mother’s Day. She may be my favorite child now. Don’t tell the others.

@Liedora2 That was the goal. Sort of wild woodland fae type character. She was going for a mix of Radagast the Brown and elven shield maiden. Quite a bit more wild than her character last year. Horse tooth necklace, snake bone arm band, mossy hair. You can't really see it in the pics...

Sang a special today - my original song Earthly Dust. It started out strong and then I got choked up at the end. Sometimes music just hits me so hard.

I got a subscription to @LetterOnTheWay for Mother’s Day. I’m so happy. Twice a month letters tells whole story. ** swoon ** Cool metal tin to hold the letters too!!

After the first exams wherein the education instruction consisted of “read these three chapters” and every single kid failed, they asked for a review guide or study walk through. She sent an announcement telling them to read the next chapters and create their OWN guides.

Brianna has a college class where the instructor hasn’t provided a single lecture or educational activity the entire semester. If she fails this class my Momma bear is going to come out big time. #italianandnotafraidtouseit
