Turkey is a bad ally because of one man: Erdogan. He has turned his back on the legacy of Attaturk, crushed democracy, throttled free speech, and cosied up to Russia all because of his own ego. Tragic.

I’m thinking US, UK, Germany, Poland and the Baltics. If we’d done that with #Ukraine we might have prevented Russia’s senseless aggression.

Since #Turkey is a bad ally but can’t be kicked out of #NATO, why don’t the US, UK and NATO counties that border Russia create a new mutual defence treaty and invite #Finland and #Sweden? Any attack on one of those countries would trigger NATO #Article5
