On International #MineAwarenessDay, we are reminded that landmines and explosive remnants of war continue to threaten lives, livelihoods, and the future of entire communities. For many in #Ukraine - especially those living and working on the land - safety is not a given, but something that must be restored. Behind these efforts are women who are reshaping the humanitarian mine action sector every day - from deminers and risk education or survey specialists to farmers reclaiming their land after clearance. Their stories are about courage, resilience, and the power to rebuild. This April fourth, we stand with the women who are making land safe again, supporting their communities, and paving the way for others. @FAOUkraine @DRCinUA @fsd__ch

❤️10 Years of #MineAction in #Iraq Over the past decade, FSD teams have: 🔹 cleared 35.7 million m² of land 🔹 removed nearly 34,000 improvised devices 🔹 destroyed 2,000 unexploded ordnance 🔹 reached 160,000+ people through in-person risk education

Great participation at our event for our new study on Women, Peace & Security in Ukraine's 🇺🇦 mine action response. Equal participation isn't a goal — it's a commitment. And mine action is at its core about restoring safety, dignity & opportunity for all.📖link.gichd.org/WPSinMA-UA
