It's one year today since I joined @SJACymru! I've spent the day chairing our property strategy group and now our 2025-2030 Strategy Forum as well as keeping an eye on community support units number 5, 6 & 7 which are coming on fleet this week.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to become the next #Hospitaller for @SJACymru supporting the life-changing work of the St John Eye Hospital in Jerusalem. The @StJohnEyeHosp is the only charitable provider of expert eye care in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza, treating over 137,000 patients annually, regardless of ethnicity, religion, or ability to pay. Their work spans from routine checks to complex surgery, including cataracts, glaucoma, and paediatric care, while also training local professionals and reaching remote communities through mobile clinics. This voluntary but highly respected role within @PrioryWales plays a vital part in connecting our work here with the Hospital’s vital mission in the Middle East. As a member of both the Wales Eye Hospital Committee and @StJohnCardiffV, I look forward to working closely with the new Hospitaller to strengthen that connection and continue supporting this extraordinary work. St John People will be on hand over the festive period working & volunteering in the heart of communities across Wales. Our people will be working on behalf of the Welsh Ambulance Service & other partners, in addition to providing first aid cover at events all over the country.
