Trump doesn't really WANT to be President. What he wants, is unlimited wealth, ability to grift, immunity, constant attention, no accountability for crimes, and above all, legitimization of his self-professed grandiosity, all of which the presidency gives him. He did, however, NEED the presidency in 2024. The alternative for him was prison or flight. All these discussions the press reports on every day, about what Trump says, and what he'll do relating to policy - they're not properly contextualized. He has the cravings mentioned above. While he craves, he schmoozes, bloviates, threatens, and golfs. The people he's put in place and the ideologies they're empowering is what is endangering the American experiment. He's the emissary ... the carrier ... the parasite.
