Just got back from the game (went as a civilian with the family) and saw the news about Clay Holmes. Crushing for the Mets, but honestly gutting for Holmes personally too. He put in an incredible amount of work over the last year-plus transitioning into a starter and had blossomed into a legitimate ace for this staff. Brutal break for him and another unbelievable injury blow in a season that’s already had way too many for the Mets.
