I think it’s truly absurd that Japanese players have 8 slots at the One Piece World Championship, and a total of 22 slots are allocated to Asia. I understand that the Asian player base is very large, but it’s still unreasonable that Japan alone gets 8 slots while the entire rest of the world only gets 12.
Oceania and LATAM each have just 1 slot, and LATAM Finals winners even have to face each other to compete for that single spot. All of this is absolutely unfair. I think the slots for OCE, LATAM, and SEA players should be increased.

@KoopaKing916 @DJportapotty Dude, I’m a player as you can see on my profile…

@DJportapotty @AngeloT_OP Definitely, people that play and or collect wouldn’t have even made this post.

I think the One Piece Base Shop in Tokyo is the WORST One Piece store ever created. To enter, you have to be a resident in Japan/have a Japan ID and participate in a lottery one month in advance for a chance to get access to the store. I couldn’t even try to participate because I’m resident in Italy. I only saw the store from the outside, and inside there were around 10–15 staff members and NO visitors/customers, but of course, they didn’t allow me to enter, and they even told me to leave because I was taking photos and “blocking the passage” (which was empty since there was no one there). If I could leave 0 stars as a review, I would.
One Piece should be for everyone, come on..

@DavidGreenEye It’s a really cool idea, I hope I can manage to do it

@AngeloT_OP (have a full stream view of the wolds and B03 tournament). Due to you have followers in the western community and a contact net, this is what I would do if I have that resources.
Congrats for the finals and thanks for representing Europe!

I’ll tell you about my experience at Worlds both as a participant and as a spectator, because in my opinion Bandai is managing the entire competitive circuit almost perfectly, except for the World Championship itself, which should be the apex of the game 🥲
I think the biggest issue is from the spectator’s perspective, because the streaming schedules kept changing constantly and it was impossible to follow it. On top of that, I think it’s absurd to stream only two matches instead of the entire World Championship.
As for the overall appeal of the broadcast and the event, I don’t think it’s even remotely comparable to games like Pokémon or Riftbound, which offer broadcasts of a much higher production quality, even for tournaments that are less important than Worlds.
Regarding the experience as a participant, overall it wasn’t bad. I expected much more from the venue, but the tournament itself was fairly enjoyable and there was a really good atmosphere inside the room.
What I really cannot understand, however, is the format. In my opinion, 5 rounds of BO1 Swiss are far too few to truly determine the best 8 players in the room. I hope they will implement a better system in the future.
As for the prizes, obviously the top 3 prizes are fantastic, but I also think the top 8 should be rewarded in some way.

@AngeloT_OP Pensi che riesce a fare le chiusure anche senza pudding contro mazzi come lucy e ace?
Italiano

@reneneneneneeee You play it like a soft control with Borsalino + Quasar, no need to be that aggressive with Pudding maybe, but we’ll see

I finished One Piece Worlds in 15th place with a 3–2 record using Boa Hancock 🐍. I’m a bit sad because the list was working perfectly but I was very unlucky and expected a better result.
In the comments below, I’ll write down my matchups and explain the concept behind the list.
I’m truly grateful for the incredible support from everyone. I can’t wait to start testing OP15, and I’ll keep giving it my all. My goal now is to qualify for Worlds again and do even better next year 🔥

@AngeloT_OP Congrats on the run! I'm running something similar for regionals/TCs. Are you choosing to go first in non-Imu/Ace matchups now due to 5c Nami? I can't decide what's better.
English

@AngeloT_OP Great results still Angelo, congrats! Do you remember how dice rolls went and when you chose what? Better luck for next year, I’m sure you can do it!

I expected the majority of the field to be Imu, Mihawk, and Ace. My list had a huge advantage against Imu and was specifically built to beat Ace and Mihawk through the Lilith + Sables + Rayleigh package. I didn’t expect many aggro decks or Boa, which is why I was only playing 3 Kuma.
In testing, I had around an 85/90% win rate against Imu and Mihawk, matchups that felt almost impossible for me to lose, and a very high win rate against Ace as well.
Unfortunately, luck wasn’t on my side. I faced the only Nami of the tournament in the first round, which is my worst matchup, and in the last round I lost vs UP Luffy, who had triple ramp into Sanji + Roger into Roger again.

@AngeloT_OP Wait are you the one with the boa guy some asians were beefing with for no reason? 😂
English

3 Asia participants in top 8 for Worlds aside (proud of you guys but it’s expected 🫡)
