Is it that hard to believe a guy who beats his pregnant girlfriend and breaks his little boy’s arm would escalate things with police during a routine traffic stop?? Kentuckian here. This happened outside the town where my family grew up; several of us drive this exact stretch of interstate daily. I’m waiting for the typical republican response: perhaps we need armed guards all along the interstate. Or bullet proof glass being required in all cars. We certainly can’t do anything radical like restricting access to guns. I had a sibling caught up in this yesterday. I guess if she had died at least she’d have done so with her 2A rights still intact 😢

I'm delighted that President Trump is taking up the issue of universal child care. For the cost of the Ukraine war, we could make childcare affordable for every family. A lot of people pay more for childcare than for groceries or housing. In fact, universal childcare might actually increase government revenues, because it would add at least a trillion dollars to the economy.
