I am currently reading The Origin of the Family, but I believe Engels is mistaken about the origin of the familial household, as per Fustel de Coulanges work demonstrating that each household, with monogamous marriage and paternal leadership was centred around the hearth family religion, long before capitalist property relations.

That’s not what Marxian economics is about… despite Marx & Marxists often appealing to such sentiments.
The essence was understanding humanity’s ability to constantly reinvent its relationship with nature and rise to a higher plan, reinventing social relations in the process.

Hello mate we just don't want the only regional check on Israel to be annihilated and realise that genocide-adjacent rhetoric (likely bluff) doesn't help the right and will in fact just leave it with an absolute ton of baggage once Trump leaves office.

The reaction to this from the "online right" has been nothing but pathetic. For 10 years, since I was in HIGHSCHOOL, I have watched and participated in endless posting about "saracens", "bring back the crusades", "retake constantinople" and all sorts of pro-violence rhetoric against muslims and the middle east. Now we have a president (likely bluffing) who is stating he wants to do that and you people blink. How pathetic. None of you people are serious. None of you are the "strong men" that you pretend to be. Every leftist is serious, they wouldn't say they want to "liquidate white people" but they will happily go work for NGOs to defraud the country, or work as pro-bono legal clerks to keep repeat offending murderers and rapists out of jail. Every leftist was serious when they went to go work for the CIA, FBI, and NSA they did the dirty work for Bush, Obama, and Biden against their precious browns as hospitals and weddings were bombed. You know why? Because after that they got to spy on Americans, they got to debank and arrest people for memes. Leftists do this shit because they are serious, because even if they are opposed to the random inbred browns getting drone striked 7,000 miles away, they know that at the end of it they will still get to weaponize their will, even the smallest most infinitesimal amount of it to enact their worldview on YOU. But what a ruling class might want, is a completely irrelevant showpiece of legislation targeting a non-issue, to distract from real issues, and maybe even target a group of people who are seen as an enemy by another group whose interests you do put first.
