Their 18 year old daughter just graduated a few weeks ago. Her parents thought they were being fair for not kicking her out at 18 but they are kicking her out after she graduates. They told her if she wanted to stay, effective June 1st, she would have to start paying them $200 a month plus the costs of her own food.
If she wanted the rent with meal plan, it’s $300 a month and she can eat from their fridge. They feel they are teaching her responsibility in a controlled environment. I think the amount they are charging is reasonable and fair, it’s still cheaper than being on her own. Do you think this is too expensive too cheap, or do the just hate their kid?

This man complains that his daughter stays in her room all day and doesn’t enjoy talking to him and his wife. Whenever she does come down for food or water, he’s always reminding her that when she turns 18 either she can move out or pay rent. I never understood why people do this as a scare tactic to teach kids responsible. Is it possible that his interactions like this is actually damaging his relationship with his daughter. Isn’t he giving her a vibe that he doesn’t want her around or is this a part of teaching her responsibility?

I've spent quite a few hours body surfing the Atlantic, but it's a pretty lame surf break and most beach goers never catch a wave, board or body.

@Angrbrd @RealJohnDios None of the appeal, nobody goes to the beach to fish for bass and look at ducks. Comparing the two is silly. Coastal NY and NJ have better fishing than some lame stocked pond too, you just don’t go to the beach to do it.

Yeah I live in an overpriced shoe box but I took the train to the beach for a morning walk, went to the MOMA, had incredible food for dinner, and paid $30 for a comedy show to see some of the biggest headliners in comedy. I’m tired of pretending of living in NYC isn’t amazing.

I would love to see a car company make something that normal humans could repair with common parts.
Bring back kit cars, but include options for days, 3rd party whatever, 3d printed shenanigans, and room to put in a cup holder that'll hold a nalgene.

@imrichbroadus @RealJohnDios It's been about 20 years, maybe two decades of smoking bans have filtered out some of the ash, but regardless any of NYCs charm is completely overshadowed by the pervasive gray filth of the city

@Angrbrd @RealJohnDios The beaches in New York and New Jersey have beautiful yellow sand, I don’t think you’ve ever been to one if we’re being honest. A bass pond is not a beach, has none of the appeal and is used primarily for breeding mosquitos.
