@ImpatienTourist The good ole Christmas STD craze
Fuck holidays
English

I kinda want to know if the men also lost their jobs, especially, a married boss who made out with his subordinate
Jelly Santos@MrsJellySantos
This woman lost her job at the company’s Christmas party..cuz she made out with a few of the men she worked with. Including her boss. In front of his wife… 😅

@LightningShade0 @haintological @NightshadeRealm When i play videogames im always the good guy. No dillemma for me
English

@haintological @NightshadeRealm Yeah, not a stupid question. A similar question exists in philosophy papers as "gamer's dilemma".
(The correct answer is, of course, to bite the bullet and declare "fictional characters = fictional problems", but humans are rarely consistent when it comes to taboos.)

@Saintjon18 Youve got a point, but substitute murder for killing. Also GTA is a combat based game, not a sex simulator.
English

@etheralfem So in conclusion, why put a complex and empathy-volating feature in a game meant to entertain?
GTA is meant to be lighthearted and slightly edgy fun, not so much youll cut yourself on it.
GTA also showcases what happens if you are a criminal... 99% of the time cops shoot you.
English

@etheralfem Rape by extension is both a highly complex mechanic and its only purpose would be to satiare players with a rapist ideation. Why put that in a game? Its psychopathic to encourage those kinds of fantasies.

English

@sstupidkat @etheralfem No, i would not rather die. You dont speak for me.
English

@etheralfem People will say murder is worse, but I promise they would rather die than experience being raped and having to live with the trauma and most likely not having justice
English

@NotEvolution1 Theyre both evolution, which happens gradually.
In fact you cant prove that organism A cannot evolve into organism B over an eventual time horizon. Theres no way to prove it.
Theres plenty of proof things evolve in general however.

@Erickschultz11 @Lilith_Atheist Its not a metaphor because its not explicitly designated a metaphor.

Christians understand this story metaphorically, seeing it as a narrative that conveys spiritual truths rather than a literal historical account. In this view, the story is a powerful illustration of God's judgment against sin, His mercy in the midst of judgment, and the importance of righteous living.
The flood narrative is typically seen as a response to the widespread wickedness and corruption on Earth. From this perspective, the flood represents God's judgment on sin and His desire to cleanse the world of moral corruption. It's important to understand that in Christian theology, God's actions, even those that are difficult for humans to comprehend, are ultimately viewed as just and rooted in His greater knowledge and understanding of good and evil.
Additionally, the story of Noah and the Ark is also interpreted as a story of redemption and mercy. Despite the destruction, God saves Noah, his family, and two of every kind of animal. This act is seen as a symbol of God's mercy and the possibility of a new beginning. The covenant God makes with Noah after the flood, symbolized by the rainbow, is a promise of God's ongoing relationship with humanity and His commitment to never again destroy the Earth with a flood.

@nayeonswifee @Slothnewbie @Misaki31597012 @Jesspecting Then you dont know how causality works.
How is it your hormone's fault that you cant stop stuffing your face with high calorie, greasy, sugary, high carb foods?
Just do less of that, and exercise more, then you wont have to blame your hormones for YOUR actions.
English

@nayeonswifee @Slothnewbie @Misaki31597012 @Jesspecting "Youre forgetting metabolisms" you say as i literally just mentioned metabolisms.
And you can handle a slowing metabolism by... EATING LESS.
Learn how calorie deficits work and then get back to me.

Angry Science@AngryScience_
@nayeonswifee @Slothnewbie @Misaki31597012 @Jesspecting Because their metabolisms slow down and they forget they shouldnt be eating as much at that point. Your body gains mass when it eats mass. It wont do it if you arent eating too much.
English

@nayeonswifee @Slothnewbie @Misaki31597012 @Jesspecting Tell me... If you ate nothing, or extremely little, do you think hormones would cause you to still gain weight? How?
The principle of losing weight is running a calorie deficit.
No matter how many "hormones" you have, you can still lose weight by not overeating.
