
The RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) vaccine has reduced hospital admissions of babies by more than 80%. Karen Spillett, deputy head of health advice at Asthma + Lung UK said: “Asthma + Lung UK campaigned hard for the RSV vaccine to be rolled out to vulnerable groups. We are very glad that these vaccines are making a big difference in protecting young babies from becoming severely unwell." “It is important to stress that RSV is usually harmless.
