Something that a lot of people in the space still don't think about much is the display issue. Not that we need to necessarily take the work to a physical space. But imo, almost always best. Because then it becomes an experience. For example: the 4 video works of @qubibien are being presented at the @GalerieMet in very small screens attached to raspberry pi computers. having large walls with such small screens (less than 7 inches), was first of all very clean, but also it just focused our attention. it's like these people who speak softly, and we want to listen to them, so we get closer and we pay more attention. We want to get closer to the screen. So without any instructions, effortlessly, an experience of intimacy is created. And that really fits the whole project of qubibi. Things like this is important not only for us curators and gallerists, but also for collectors to consider displaying pieces of their collection. I know the tendency is to have one screen that displays the whole NFT collection. But I think certain artworks deserve their own unique, special display. Always interesting to discuss that with the artits. Specially in the case of moving image works, even more with audiovisual works. Or animated generative works.
