Believing I'm just like everyone else is ur biggest misconception. I've always been aware that I don't quite fit in, which is exactly why I don't bother trying.

The biggest mistake the FG and South West states could make is entrusting the region’s security architecture to Sunday Igboho. It may appear effective and coordinated until 2031, but afterward it could gradually metamorphose into something more sinister that the government may struggle to contain.

I do not mean to be the bearer of bad news. But we have this at Xtra Space and I can confirm he is lying. That fan is absolute ass. Please I’m sorry. 🙏🏽 I just really hate lies.

I would recommend the Maxi Tower Fan. I’m currently using the black one and, trust me, it’s one of the best purchases I’ve made. If you don’t want to turn on the AC or you don’t own one, this fan gives you almost everything an AC does. It cools like an AC. The price should be around 75k-80k.

The constitution already stipulates those who are qualified to contest an election and that does not exclude those standing criminal trial in any court. Anyone who is standing criminal trial is presumed to be innocent until the guilt is proven, convicted and sentenced according to the law. All these noise about Yahaya Bello contesting despite standing trial are just mere sponsored propaganda.

This is an oversimplification of a complex problem. If poverty directly increases crime rate, why does Nigeria have a higher crime rate than poorer countries like Burkina Faso, Nepal, Niger, Malawi etc?
𐌁𐌉Ᏽ 𐌕𐌉𐌌𐌉@OrevaZSN

You reduce crime by eliminating poverty. The reason so called nice neighborhoods have lower crime rates is because people’s basic needs are being met. It is not because of police, alarm systems, or neighborhood associations. Poverty creates crime.

This stupid habit of attributing anything you find condescending to Ìbàdàn does not make sense. It's not cruise. It's negative and false stereotyping. It's not like most of you have a town/village you're proud of.

Hello @LCFC I’m Olaogun, a winger also played as a striker from Nigeria. I’ve spent the last 3 years training daily to get one shot at professional football. I’m not asking for a contract. I’m asking for 7 days on trial to show you what I can do. If I’m not good enough, I’ll walk away with no hard feelings. I’m fast, direct, and I work harder than anyone on the pitch. My highlights are here: @Olaogun9" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">youtube.com/@Olaogun9 Thanks, Olaogun |

We can confirm that 10 Men’s First Team players will depart upon the expiration of their contracts this summer. We would like to thank all those leaving us for their contributions during their time on Filbert Way, and wish them the very best for the future.

After the premiere of The Trade, I got chatting with producers. I asked them why they didn’t just let Eric get away? He was the perfect villain. You’re rooting for him. Guess what they replied? Nigeria and Nigerian board restrictions. Another time, I was cast for a movie that ended being cancelled because the NPF refused to approve how the script portrayed them. It was either they shot it without NPF which was the soul of the plot (ie use any other uniform that doesn’t suggest the NPF, what’ll be the point?), or not shoot at all. They canceled. The Nigerian creative industry is not just restricted by “obvious” factors… there’re things that go on behind the scenes that greatly stifle ideation. In the movie Top Gun, the US Navy provided them access to the Ranger aircraft carriers, fighter jets, and ACTIVE-DUTY military pilots to perform the aerial stunts. In Transformers, the production received massive logistical support. They provided them with helicopters, Raptors, and actual military bases to use as filming locations. In Ironman, Marvel Studios was granted access an air force base and actual military aircraft to film the scenes where Tony Stark's experimental suit clashes with the US Air Force. To mention but a few. But in Nigeria, if you wear Camo as a civilian, you’ll witness wonders. The state of this nation affects EVERYTHING. It ruins things in ways you can’t begin to imagine until you have skin in it. You go outside to shoot, you have to deal with street louts. You have a script that touches major sectors, and you’ll have to seek approvals upon approvals, or risk your movie been banned after release. If this series even remotely refers to a particular national body, and the plot becomes too real, it’ll only take one person who feels attacked to can it. These people are not stupid. They’re also navigating Nigeria like everyone else. Let’s be kinder with our criticism.

You people started with “Yoruba identity is new.” Now that it’s been debunked, it’s suddenly “they didn’t politically see themselves as Yoruba,” whatever that means. I’m not sure who made the rule that Yoruba people must have a political identity in our history. A lot of civilisations did not, they were mostly cities and kingdoms. We are an ancient civilisation and we have always had a shared identity. You all need to explain why you’re so interested in our history instead of yours. What exactly are you trying to find or prove?

This is actually a brilliant observation that deserves a proper answer. You are not wrong about what you are seeing. But what you are describing is exactly how languages disappear without anyone noticing. Adamawa alone has over 40 documented languages. Bura, Vere, Chamba, Gaanda, Lala, Bacchama, Bata, Marghi and more and no they are not variations as you pointed out. But most of them are slowly being swallowed by Hausa and Fulani because those are the languages of trade, mobility and survival. So yes, your Borno security guard speaks Shuwa Arabic and your Sokoto okada man speaks Hausa and they understand each other perfectly. That does not mean only one language exists. It means one language won the economic argument. This is what linguists call language assimilation. The dominant language does not erase the others overnight. It just makes them less useful for daily survival until the younger generation stops learning them entirely. Now here are the facts. Ethnologue, which is the world's most authoritative database on languages, currently documents 520 living indigenous languages in Nigeria alone. Not dialects. Languages. Nigeria has also already lost 12 indigenous languages or more to extinction. Gone forever. The Middle Belt is where this becomes undeniable. Plateau State alone has over 50 distinct languages. Keyword "Dinstinct". Benue has Tiv, Idoma, Igede and more. Taraba has communities that cannot understand their neighbours two villages away without a translator. Your Yoruba example actually proves the point perfectly. The fact that a Yoruba person can move across the Southwest and be understood is evidence of one dominant language absorbing regional variations over centuries. That process happened. It is still happening everywhere else in Nigeria right now. Now I am willing to bet you have never heard of Hyam, Ngas, Mwaghavul, Berom, Amo, Buji, Sura, Anaguta, or Irigwe from Plateau State. Or Kilba, Huba, Bura-Pabir, and Chibok from Borno. Or Mumuye, Jenjo, Yukuben, and Wurkum from Taraba. Or Tur, Nyandang, Kugama and Taram further into the riverine communities nobody talks about. Or what about Igala, Ebira, Bassange, Bassa-Nge, Kakanda and Oworo from Kogi alone. I have not even touched Rivers, Cross River, Bayelsa, Edo, Ondo, or Nasarawa yet. You want to know exactly where each of these is spoken? You will have to tour Nigeria for that. And I promise you, this country will humble you in ways no map ever could. The 500 languages are not cap. Most of them are just quietly dying (Bura has an estimated 11,000 speakers with most young Bura people now not able to speak the language) while we debate whether they exist. And that is the real conversation Nigeria should be having.
sc@sxdiqcarter_

I don’t believe we speak up to 500 languages in Nigeria. Different dialects ?, yes. But over 500 languages is total cap. All the South western states speak Yoruba, diffferent variations ,yh but I doubt there’s no where a Yoruba person will go in southwest and not be able to communicate asides some parts of ondo that speak ijaw or the egun speaking communities in ogun state and Lagos & I’m sure this probably applies to people from the south east too. My former security guy in abk is from borno (north east), he said they speak a language called “shuwa Arabic” but he communicates well with another bikeman from sokoto. (North west) so where did the over 500 languages come from.

Still standing on my opinion,if I have the power, Nigeria should be divided, Hausa/Fulani should go ,Yoruba should go ,ibo should go . Honestly,I doubt if we can succeed as one Nigeria, and I think separating is the best for us
