Trans ideology represents a profound level of violence: it proposes the outright abolition of women as a sex class and characterizes as bigotry/discrimination any concern about that abolition. The fact that many people don't see this shows the strength of misogyny.

I think anyone that believes trans people aren’t real should have to experience what I have for the last two weeks. Which has been excruciating post-surgical pain.
I can’t lie down because that hurts too much. I can kind of sit up for a while and sleep for a few hours at a time, but it makes my back ache. I feel best when I can walk, but 45 minutes on the treadmill makes me sleep for about two hours.
And I’m happy to do it. I’m thrilled to do it. From my point of view, it is correcting one of the most fundamental ways puberty broke my body.
But no one would go through with this if they didn’t feel extremely strongly.
I have always known who I was. Trying to keep others happy nearly killed me. All the pain I’m going through could’ve been avoided if I’ve had parents willing to listen to me at 3, 7, 10 or even 13.
I wish people had some empathy about how devastating it is to be born like this.

As a Muslim, this hurts to admit.
We spend so much time blaming the media for Islam's image, but we rarely ask who keeps handing them the footage.
When extremists bomb markets, slaughter innocent people, kidnap families for ransom, or murder while shouting "Allahu Akbar", they don't hide it. They film it. They celebrate it. They upload it for the world to see.
The media didn't invent those videos.
Our extremists did.
If we truly love Islam, our first battle should not be against the cameras. It should be against the people who keep covering our faith in the blood of innocent human beings.
That is the conversation too many Muslims are afraid to have.
