In 2020, we ended our strike based on the ‘New Decade, New Approach’ promise that nursing staff in NI would never again fall behind UK pay parity. Enough is enough. It’s unacceptable that our members may face industrial action yet again just to get the same pay as colleagues across the water. We’ve worked tirelessly in a broken system to care for patients—yet we get no pay rise and even talk of settling for less. Our message is clear: our strike mandate is live. Restore pay parity now, or see us back on the picket lines. #PayParity #FairPayForNINurses

As the conflict in the Middle East continues to escalate, our General Secretary and Chief Executive reiterates calls for an immediate ceasefire and an end to attacks on all health care workers and buildings.
The RCN stands in solidarity with nursing staff working in conflict and war everywhere.
