@NicolaWillisMP So unprofessional from the journalist! Not what anyone should have to put up with, and hardly neutral! You have my sympathy Nicola, that’s just unacceptable.

Having the C-word directed at me by a journalist in a mainstream publication wasn’t on my bingo-list for Mother’s Day 2025. Nor was being accused of ‘girl-math’. Enough with the slurs, now for some facts: thepost.co.nz/politics/36068…

@tauhenare My best wishes to his family for the loss of Richard. I went into Parliament with him and enjoyed his company, his wit, his intelligence and his kindness. May he Rest In Peace

Aue, Richard Worth, former MP for Epsom has passed away. 1. I was his bench mate for a few years 2. The lady he was accused of misconducting told her story to my PA and it was me who let GB know.

@cjsbishop Minister Martin has faithfully implemented the plan National left for OT, and I thank her for that and securing the finance to do it. The transition plan in particular has made a huge difference to the lives of those youth in state care ageing out and being supported.

Wonder how much taxpayer cash went into this 2 minute ode to Tracey Martin produced by her government Ministry which she is sharing online two weeks out from the election

I was very proud to be in the Speakers Chair last night to pass this important legislation that broke Parliament’s rules by being in the names of 4 women from 4 different political parties. The power of women working together for women!

My heart goes out to the police family at this tragic time. Our thoughts are with you all as you mourn the needless loss of an officer just doing their job to keep us safe.

@JudithCollinsMP I’m so sad to hear that Judith. Louisa is indeed a strong, forthright woman, and an independent thinker. I’ve worked with her on a number of projects and respect her immensely.

I have just heard that Louisa Wall MP for Manurewa has pulled out of selection. A strong Woman/Maori/Gay woman done it by her own side. Very sorry for Louisa.

I worry that having got rid of any measurements of effectiveness this Government is now back to counting success by how much money they spend!

Interesting comments on community education - it’s alive and well, it’s just not funded by the taxpayers!

I cannot believe this budget borrows against my grandchildren’s future to fund pet projects - it is too damn serious for nonsense like funding evening classes in Basket Weaving and Gardening in the Wind!

With my family this morning at the end of the driveway standing at dawn for Anzac Day. We want our kids to grow up understanding how important it is to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our way of life. We will remember them.

PM gobbledegook re benefit adjustments! National raised benefits $25 a week. She hated it then, clearly can’t even match it now!!

Tragic time here in Whakatāne. Our thoughts are with the families of all who are affected. Our thanks go to our heroic first responders and the staff of White Island Tours who risked their own lives to save visitors to Whakaari.

A National- led Govt increased the benefit by $25 a week, the first increase in 43 years!
