@Just_Maths I teach iGCSE and inequality regions, circle theorems (some basic ones!) and simultaneous equations I would simply drop out of Foundation… Regular GCSE would be angle reasons, non-linear graphs and trig.

Maths Twitter: Imagine tomorrow you can get rid of 3 topics from the foundation tier ... what would you choose?? .. not because you don't like teaching it but what topics are not "foundational" topics ... go!!! go! #mathschat

@HawesMaths I like function machines as you can relate them back with ‘I think of a number’ type questions.

@HawesMaths I grew up with the ‘change side, change sign’ method. Currently teaching the balance method mostly, unless I have a very low ability group the I go with function machines.

What are you going for? Assuming you know all about equations. What do you favour?
