Not surprised. We have been dealing with the same shit for over 2 years. All crypto VCs telling us that although they like our product/vision, they see no reason for XRPL or that they don't like Ripple. That's why we decided to say f*ck them and launch a crowdfunding instead so that the community is the one who helps bring our vision and app to life. We prefer the community and our users owning Anodos rather than these VCs.

The least pleasant call I had in the process of building Flare was with a VC fund where Ran was an advisor. Ran ranted at me for a good 15-20 minutes that XRP was worth nothing, that building DeFi for XRP was a pointless pursuit and that Flare would never work. Fortunately my character is such that rather than dissuade me it made me more determined.
