@mrsamofficialp@FrostyRadical@GBC_Press If that’s a red card half the teams would be thrown off every yellow card in normal play as they surround the ref to plead there case
@FrostyRadical@GBC_Press You are a disgrace to football if you think that action by Messi doesn't warrant a red card. Why y'all messis fans are cheater
Global outrage at FIFA happening now !!! 😱
Messi raised his finger against the Portuguese referee and threatened him: "Speak to me with respect!"
Despite an official rule against this action that leads to a red card and a multi-match ban, Messi was exempted from punishment!
I'm an account based in the USA and trump calling the president of @FIFAWorldCup to overturn a call so someone can play is BULLSHIT... if the USA can't win a match without one player, then we don't deserve to win... yes, the card may have been unfair, but a leader of a country shouldn't be able to interrfer with the games... that's not fair to the other players/teams whose penalties weren't overturned with a phone call... #OneManDoesNotMakeATeam
This is probably the biggest scandal in World Cup history.
USA striker Folarin Balogun committed this outrageous foul against Bosnia and was shown a straight red card… but here’s where it gets crazy.
The White House publicly contacted FIFA and the tournament organizers, asking them to lift his suspension. And they actually did. Balogun is now eligible to play against Belgium.
The organizers cited something called a “probation period,” meaning the red card still stands, but instead of serving the mandatory suspension, he’ll only be punished if he commits a similar offense again.
A blatant manipulation of the rules for everyone to see, especially considering red-card suspensions are not supposed to be appealable.
When you’re expelled from school, but your dad is the Principal. 😭
@JacobsBen Do Americans think football is baseball or NBA?
Why can’t they stick to their own sport and leave football alone
How do you appeal for this challenge?
🚨 Exclusive: The White House made a direct call to FIFA to ask Gianni Infantino to review Folarin Balogun’s red card.
FIFA approached for comment and referred to the findings of its independent committee.
FIFA sources insist White House influence could not affect the decision due to the powers contained in Article 27 and the independent nature of the disciplinary panel.
