Donald just stole ~ $2B in broad daylight from taxpayers, waiving tax crime liability in the process, and seemingly was politically better off after doing so. The religious right prefers an atheist with golden statues over literally any other candidate.

Trump just snapped a finger and defeated a “moderate” in Thomas Massie in a state with a blue governor — just in case Dems are feeling optimistic of POTUS approval ratings. The left remains a big tent with the least popular ideas the loudest on media and tv.

@GodsFavRtard @politicalmath That’s the disconnect. Those women believe in divestment. The logic is if you work in HR for Chevron, you are killing the planet. If you were a speechwriter for Obama, you’re complicit in civilian drone strikes. Etc etc. you have to understand the ideology to debate it.

@Anonhottakes @politicalmath I don't think anyone is complicit. Nobody is taking an active action against in this scenario. I'm just pointing out that blaming the insurance companies doesn't even make sense

@GodsFavRtard @politicalmath Genuinely curious: if an insurance company denied an option for your child with cancer with a 10% success rate, would you believe that the insurance company was complicit in your child’s death? If not, why? If so, at what level are employees complicit, top down?

@politicalmath If you support the assassinations of either Brian Thompson or Charlie Kirk, you are not my political opponent. You are a bloodthirsty sociopath that should be kept far away from any sort of power or authority. "Love Trumps hate."

@Versuhtyle … boomers invented the literal power lunch, wine included! What the fuck are you even talking about? A $70k salary, while sadly still statistically upper echelon today, equated to a $205k salary in 1987 before Black Monday. What is this revisionist history?

“I’m saying fuck Brian Thompson. I don’t give a flying fuck he died,” says Ashley Rojas, wearing her press badge provided by @NYCMayorsOffice. Lena Weissbrot adds that Thompson’s teenage sons “are better off without him” and should “enjoy the blood money.”

The future of journalism? Credentialed members of the NYC press corps came to Luigi Mangione’s hearing today to support the defendant they’re purportedly reporting on and to promote jury nullification “to the most cucked and submissive population in all of human history”

@AnnieAgar Same thing happened to me when I went healthy keto/intermittent fasting and lost alot of weight. Everyone thought I was sick! In 6 months went from 276lbs to 193lbs. Americans are fat as hell and don't realize what a normal weight is anymore.

Neither party has the moral high ground here, but Pete Crow-Armstrong is a professional athlete and (unfortunately) a role model to some, so he shouldn’t have said anything. The fact that he resorted straight to vulgar misogyny is pretty telling.

@TFTC21 Why are the cognoscenti working in finance in the first place? Why isn’t the AI curing cancer or expediting space travel to escape the sun? We are burning resources on profit generation for no collective benefit.

Ken Griffin went home on a Friday "fairly depressed" after watching AI agents at Citadel do work that used to take teams of PhDs in finance months to complete. Done in days. His words: "These are not mid-tier white collar jobs. These are extraordinarily high skilled jobs being automated by agentic AI." This is the head of one of the most successful hedge funds in history saying the people he pays seven figures to analyze markets and structure deals are being replaced by software that works in hours instead of months. Not theoretically. In his own office. Right now. The Coatue deck we covered earlier this week called agents "the biggest unlock" in AI. Griffin just confirmed it from the buy side. The shift from copilots to agents is not a future event. It is already happening at the highest levels of finance.

@awfulannouncing Forget Inside. I couldn’t even find televised nba games this year. No rhyme or reason to the schedule. Still don’t know what Peacock is. I went from watching 7 games a night on B Streams to not even knowing how to watch a game.

@mattyglesias Imagine asking a girl you’re holding hands with to make out at a high school party. And wasn’t half the fun of a make out to see what was going to be allowed? If a girl didn’t want your hand down her pants, she’d stop you. And that attempt wasn’t rape. Makeout would continue

@mattyglesias Another one you won’t touch, but the far left taught men that consent precludes them from making a natural move on a girl. I’m married with several kids, so it’s not “incel” for me to argue that most women don’t actually want this, and consent kills mood as based progress.

@Anonhottakes @HighSchoolOT Whether it's bullshit or not, if you are warned about something, you don't test the judges that hold your fate in their hands. Finish the race like normal and celebrate after. Pretty simple. Take note that no other athlete had any issues following the rules.

Mallard Creek boys track and field was disqualified for unsportsmanlike conduct after winning the 4x400 relay in the final event of the day. Had the result stayed, the Mavericks would have won the team state championship. Instead, they remained in second place. When we won the 4x100 state title in HS, we were talking crazy once we hit the finish line. Clapping, jumping. I think one of my teammates went into the stands. Not because we were taunting but because we were excited. This celebration was not egregious. Give them their title.

First Offense: Runner Nyan Brown set a state record in the 300m hurdles earlier in the day but received an official warning for taunting after flexing for photographers and celebrating on the track. Second offense: In the 4x400m relay, Mallard Creek crossed the finish line first, but the anchor leg runner threw his arm up in the air just before finishing. Officials flagged this as a second taunting/unsportsmanlike conduct violation under NFHS Rule 4-6-1. Coaches and meet officials had reportedly stressed during morning meetings that any celebratory gestures, hand pointing, or showboating at the finish line would be penalized strictly as unsportsmanlike conduct, instructing athletes simply to "run your race and walk off".

Taking my reporter hat off for a second, I'm baffled that Mallard Creek's Nyan Brown was called for a DQ for basically showing the back of his hand while crossing the finish line. I don't know the letter of the law rules here, but he was fully aware that he was about to win his school a third straight championship. Kids, adults, all of us, would get excited in a moment like this. I didn't see any effort to taunt or show anyone up. Sometimes we need to huddle up and review the tape and come up with the right call. Seems like we missed this one.
Langston Wertz Jr.@langstonwertzjr

A DQ on the final event of the day cost Mallard Creek's boys' track team a state title. A Mavericks runner raised his hand as he crossed the finish line. Story, full results charlotteobserver.com/sports/high-sc…

@Conarroest @HighSchoolOT He was warned for flexing, which was bullshit. He was penalized for fistbumping, which is something you do after every individual point scored in a sport like tennis. This was targeted. If a kid can’t celebrate a win, why compete.
