@MugenLord This is why I would prefer a Switch 2 edition. You can build on TOP of what's already there to add an actual campaign and missing features that were in previous releases.

Sakurai stated himself said Smash Ultimate Roster was nearly an impossible feat don't expect something like that if he attempted a new entry. I'm all for a reboot and shrunken roster if it means characters are going to be reworked, new Nintendo characters enter the roster, a cool single/Co-op game mode that surpass subspace emissary. Pack it with meaningful content and quality online features then most people wouldn't care. A bigger Roster doesn't mean a better game, because at some point characters stop feeling varied. You will see more cloned characters, reused animations for newer characters, just to fill the roster count. The crazy part is that most people won't even play half the roster. Smash 64 to brawl, I spent more hours playing than Smash Wii U and Ultimate despite those two games having a much larger Roster size. Smash Wii U outside of multiplayer had nothing going for it. Smash Ultimate World of Light felt like an after thought.

@kjngamer It was free for some games. Quite a few needed what the called an Online Pass. Which was $10. It was bundled into new games as a code in the box. But if you bought a game used, well chances are the code was used so youd have to spend an additional $10 per game to play online
