Florida Statute §776.031 allows non-deadly force to stop trespass or theft of property, but deadly force is justified only if you reasonably believe it's necessary to prevent imminent death, great bodily harm, or a forcible felony (like burglary or robbery). Pure theft or fleeing suspects usually doesn't qualify.
