The concept of teenagers, who are also mutants, who just happen to be ninjas, while ALSO being turtles is not something the 2020s could ever come up with. That’s a big 80s cocaine brain idea

Why is she doing this? Because there was general strike after general strike in Rome calling for an end to the genocide. Because the Italian dockers refused to ship weapons to Israel. The people made their fascist, pro-war PM change her tune because they demanded it. ✊🇮🇹

BDS activists in South Africa hand over legal dossier to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Competition calling for an immediate halt to coal exports to Israel. We call on South Africa to end all complicity with Israel’s regime of illegal occupation, apartheid and genocide, starting with cutting trade and economic relations that enable its crimes against our people.

Showmax is a good case study on why South African film&TV makers must be supported in owning IP. Local content that was licensed may continue to benefit SA beyond the switch off. But commissioned content now belongs to the French to do with what they like. That’s SA archive gone.

We’ve been warning for years that this is where AI was leading: mass surveillance, automated bombings, the imprisonment of freethinkers. It’s urgent that we collectively boycott OpenAI and ChatGPT. They are building the engines of our oppression.
Sam Altman@sama

Tonight, we reached an agreement with the Department of War to deploy our models in their classified network. In all of our interactions, the DoW displayed a deep respect for safety and a desire to partner to achieve the best possible outcome. AI safety and wide distribution of benefits are the core of our mission. Two of our most important safety principles are prohibitions on domestic mass surveillance and human responsibility for the use of force, including for autonomous weapon systems. The DoW agrees with these principles, reflects them in law and policy, and we put them into our agreement. We also will build technical safeguards to ensure our models behave as they should, which the DoW also wanted. We will deploy FDEs to help with our models and to ensure their safety, we will deploy on cloud networks only. We are asking the DoW to offer these same terms to all AI companies, which in our opinion we think everyone should be willing to accept. We have expressed our strong desire to see things de-escalate away from legal and governmental actions and towards reasonable agreements. We remain committed to serve all of humanity as best we can. The world is a complicated, messy, and sometimes dangerous place.

@deocardoso76 @Screendaily Fortunately there are much more coherent films; The Secret Agent (Brasil), Salvation (Türkiye), It Was An Accident (Iran) & Chronicles from the Siege worth more of both our time, attention and discourse for their subject matter and bravery.
