@Magnus_9_IOI @wrathofgnon Learn about how modern buildings are actually constructed in a "traditional style" and then you can lecture people about all the artistry behind sticking cheap mold-cast ornamentation on top of a concrete facade.
Modernism can be off-putting, but at least it's honest.

I'm sorry if this offends modernist architects, but:
Your artistic ability is that of a 6 year old. You slap some shapes together. Symmetry and balance? Nope you've never heard of it. Slap a red line here, and a pillar there. Then pretend you are amazing artists.
Traditional architecture was a craft, a true artistry. The knowledge of symmetry, of how to break away from it without it looking bad. All this was taught, and perfected.
I don't understand why architects don't want to learn this craft?

The town of Tønsberg, Norway planned a new modernist building by the main square, but a counter proposal was given and according to the local newspaper. after 5,000 votes the result was firmly—92%—for classical architecture in harmony with the existing town architecture.
Obviously the architects and modernists are upset the people aren't buying their ugly proposal.
