NYT: The influencer brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate will remain in custody as their lawyers told a court on Monday that they plan to fight extradition to England to face new charges of rape and sex trafficking. The Tates appeared in federal court after marshals arrested them on Saturday at a bare-knuckle boxing event in downtown Miami. The two wore tan jail jumpsuits and shackles, speaking only to acknowledge that they had read court documents pertaining to their case. Their attorney, Joseph McBride, told reporters after the hearing that the charges were politically motivated. “Andrew and Tristan are innocent,” he said, calling the allegations against them “garbage.”

If they stayed, they would still have to pay taxes on those gains. Crazy idea I know.

You claim "most canadians would not be able to afford the tax" is misleading at best. Most canadians only have TFSA, RRSP and a principle home. All 3 are exempt...

The brothers face multiple charges, including rape and assault, according to the UK Crown Prosecution Service. The Tate brothers have reportedly been close to the Trump family. In 2024, Andrew Tate said: “I’m very close with the Trump family. I know them well. I spoke to Barron.” Last year, the Financial Times reported that Trump administration officials pressed Romanian authorities to lift travel restrictions on the Tate brothers. They later traveled to the United States.
