So ‘Restore Britain’ far right clowns want to scrap public sector translation services.
That policy is dangerous NONSENSE. Here are 5 examples why:
1️⃣ Our military would be unable to translate NATO intelligence when it isn’t in English.
2️⃣ A&E doctors would be guessing a tourist’s allergies eg if they were going into anaphylactic shock.
3️⃣ Criminals could walk free because key witnesses, such as visitors who see a major crime, couldn’t have their statements translated.
4️⃣ Intelligence services would be unable to carry out foreign language work.
5️⃣ Border Force would be severely weakened by an inability to conduct in-depth foreign language interviews.
Impractical, dangerous discrimination.

This is ridiculous and laughable. It is also factually incorrect. Whites are responsible for 97% of the scientific, technological, artistic, and intellectual innovations in the world.
1) The average Chinese IQ is not 106 or higher; it is 100. The inflated figure comes from sampling only coastal cities with higher scores rather than interior cities or rural villages, where averages fall into the high 80s or 90s.
2) White Americans average around 100, but certain White Protestant denominations (Episcopal, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Methodist) score between 102 and 105. Using unweighted averages, the White Episcopalian mean is very high— 109.
3) White Christians have other advantages over Han Chinese besides IQ, but that is a separate discussion.

The chart shows reproducibility, not replicability. Reproducibility means "do other researchers get the same results from the same data doing the same analysis" as in the original paper. Note the title of the figure: Same methods, same data. It is true that the mega study also addressed replicability, which refers to whether other researchers using the same or similar methods get a similar result when conducting a new study. That chart is in the paper linked in the thread below, and I post it after this. 1/2
