Early 2023. Resources on surgeries sucked a lot, I didn't know where to look. My PCP said there was nothing you could do about ribs. I found this, a medical grade rib flare brace for $500 that I wore 23/7 for a whole year. It sucked the whole time, but it helped a small amount. These are sometimes used in younger kids, in the 10-20yo range, and only for a few months. Some data suggested it would still kinda work above 25yo if you did it for about a year. I was over my ribs so I just trusted it. Honestly it kind of worked, but the picture shows more of an improvement than I actually got. It rebouded and I retained only ~40% of the improvement you see there. I know a lot of people don't want to be shown my surgery content and block/mute my account, and honestly I entirely support that. I want to show what stuff I tired, what worked, what didn't, and maybe shitpost a little along the way. I don't want to see other people not know what options they have and waste a lot of time on stuff that barely works at best, like I did. Yeah a lot of the surgeries are pipedreams for most people, but I rather have had that then what my PCP gave me, which was "suck it up".
