Unless you’re buying the on-ice authentics, yeah they’re pretty bad. I used to buy two a year with Reebok, went down to one a year with Reebok. I’ve only bought one Fanatics since they’ve owned the rights, and it’s only because I needed a new Sharks jersey. In my mind, the Reebok MiC jerseys are still the best.

Obviously Skenes wasn’t good. But a swinging bunt single, a bloop single, two fly balls that the center fielder couldn’t catch and a guy sticking his arm into a pitch isn’t cause for concern. What is cause for concern is Cruz. Maybe my most disliked Pirate ever. Drives me insane.

In the coming days, employers will see a stream of resumes of once-in-a-lifetime quality folks. An important thing to understand is that Epic never lowered our hiring standards as we grew, and the layoff wasn't a performance-based "rightsizing" as companies call it nowadays. It's a sound bet that anyone with Epic Games on their resume is in the top few percent of their discipline.
