Ethereum is the marketplace of marketplaces
@ryanberckmans

This cycle, don't sell too early. It may take some time for the bull market to fully form. imo a reasonable rule of thumb could be not to sell one dollar of anything until BTC hits $150k. After you sell, buy back in when the time is right. ETH will be a multi trillion asset in the cycles to come. Until then, some buried truths may need to become common knowledge before ETH is ready to pass big tech majors like Apple or AMZN. Some of these truths naturally take care of themselves, such as the fact that in the decades to come, everyone everywhere is going to sell almost everything onchain on Ethereum. We're the world's marketplace. Even if most people don't believe that today, it doesn't matter, it's going to come true naturally. Other truths are babies in the crib and need protection while they mature in the public mind. Ethereum is a generational investment opportunity precisely because we're a credibly neutral global backbone. That means the base layer needs to move slower as time passes, not faster. It means client diversity is a critical welcome aspect of our value, not a constrictive burden. Not everyone believes in the base layer moving slower and ongoing investment in client diversity, even among insiders. These kinds of truths need active protection while Ethereum grows to global ubiquity. We'll see ETH at ~$12k to ~$25k this cycle. imo $15k is a conservative target. Then, if we play it right and do the work, ETH will hit $100k in the cycles to come.

Smart capital is on the move 🐴 The farm keeps growing, relayers included 🌾
Aerostrategy@aerostrategyfi

Protocol Migration Update - Autopilot → 40acres As previously communicated, we have been evaluating our path forward following @AutoPilot_xyz's transition to private mode. We are pleased to share that we are migrating our veAERO infrastructure to @40acres_Finance, and that migration is taking place shortly. What this means for you Nothing. The Aerostrategy protocol will continue to function as normal. The tax and reservoir contracts are unaffected. The $AEROSTRAT token is unaffected. You do not need to take any action. Buyback and burn continuity Our veAERO positions will be deposited into the 40acres relayer, which handles automatic voting and compounds rewards into USDC. Those rewards will continue to flow to the buyback and burn contract on a weekly basis, consistent with how the protocol has operated since the Autopilot integration. Daily buybacks and burns remain permissionless and will continue to be executed via the existing smart contracts, as they always have been. This process will remain in place until Aerodrome's sAERO migration, which was announced yesterday. We are monitoring that process closely and will share updates on our long-term infrastructure plan as details become clearer. A note on the frontend During the migration, some values displayed on the frontend may be temporarily incorrect. This is a display issue only. All funds are safe and the underlying contracts are operating as intended. 40acres Finance We are excited to be building on top of 40acres as part of this transition. More details on what this integration enables for the protocol will be shared in the coming weeks. Follow this account for updates. - The Aerostrategy Team

“Better stablecoin infrastructure is needed…” — @samkazemian Issuance was step one. Connectivity is next. Clearinghouses solved this for banks. @bettermoney_co is bringing it onchain. We support this direction. Because better money only works if it’s interoperable. We believe $frxUSD is positioned for that 🫡
Frax@Frax

Stablecoins are better money. frxUSD is better money. We're excited to be among the initial partners of @bettermoney_co, building the clearinghouse that enables stablecoins to move 1:1 across issuers and platforms.

Translation: rent-seeking intermediaries prefer centralized networks designed to protect their rent-seeking ways, as opposed to decentralized networks invented to disrupt them. Yes. In other news, pouring water on your head makes you wet.

"Goldman's on Canton. DTCC is on Canton. There's a reason they're moving there rather than permissionless blockchains. It would be very hard for a regulated institution with trillions of dollars to connect to a permissionless chain right now." — Jessi x.com/i/broadcasts/1…

Chamath may not be aware that Ethereum has been prepping for this seriously for quite some time now. In fact, the Google paper you cited is co-authored by a lead Ethereum researcher named @drakefjustin. Not all "crypto bros" think the same here.
Chamath Palihapitiya@chamath

I mentioned this last year on @theallinpod and the crypto bros freaked out. Two things are true about crypto bros: they are extremely technical and extremely belief oriented. Sometimes, though, the latter clouds the former. This paper from Google, though, is quite reasonable and raises some important technical questions. If you believe in AI leading to AGI/ASI in the semi near future, the most obvious honeypot to point an AGI/ASI to is cracking a crypto project like Bitcoin. Essentially becomes free money. The crypto elders should start spending more effort organizing on a timescale that makes crypto quantum resistant / proof in these next few years with a conclusive roadmap.

Aztec is good and I am very happy they have chosen the hard, ethical route of launching with an unconditional exit window from day one. Bravo, truly. This is commendable and brave and should be more common.

Historical bullish signals for $ETH have already appeared. It is highly likely that $1750 is the bottom for $ETH. A little after this signals appear, $ETH has always begun an explosive rise.

Yield Basis is scaling around crvUSD demand. The protocol currently operates within a 1 billion crvUSD credit line from @CurveFinance DAO, supporting up to $500 million TVL at 2x leverage. As we've mentioned many times, the bottleneck is peg stability; if @yieldbasis grew too fast relative to crvUSD supply, volatility-driven swaps could pressure the peg. Hybrid Vaults solve this by tying TVL growth directly to crvUSD demand. Deposit crvUSD and you unlock personal deposit capacity beyond normal caps. For every $100 of crypto you want to deploy, you need $55 in crvUSD backing. That crvUSD is staked at 4.5% APY while your crypto position earns trading fees or $YB emissions. Key mechanics: > First vault launches for $WETH with a $25m cap > Personal caps are isolated. Other users don't affect your capacity > Withdrawals require you to reduce crypto first, then pull crvUSD (always maintaining that 55% ratio). I've been watching how they handled the rough launch during the market downturn. The fact that they're strengthening the infrastructure around crvUSD before scaling further suggests they're learning. Whether the backing requirement is restrictive depends on yield. If markets heat up and you're earning 20%+, parking half in stables isn't a big issue. If it stays around 5%, you're probably better off elsewhere. None of this works if the peg isn’t solid.
