@AppliedTheology

I’m a pastor, so spend too much time with me and I’ll try to talk about my kids, BJJ, and Jesus. Opinions are my own and not reflective of LBC or the Utah ANG.

@ChadNJensen I’m quitting my draft projections while I’m ahead tho. My record stands at a 100% hit rate. Just don’t look at my sample size. 😁

Then you got it right, big dawg! Bo Nix leads all the 2024 QBs in ACTUAL stats and ACTUAL wins.
Caleb Schaaf@AppliedTheology

@ChadNJensen That first off-season was the first time I’d really looked into a draft class. Bo was my favorite and first choice and I told all my friends as much. Words can’t express how excited I was when we drafted him!

I knew Nix was for sure the Broncos elusive, long sought-after franchise QB when he started hot at Arrowhead as a rookie, fell behind late, and sucked every second off the clock when he got the ball back with around 4 minutes to go, driving down into very makeable FG range to set up the walk-off winner. It was blocked, but that was the Nix harbinger game. Even KC knew it then.
Mile High Huddle@MileHighHuddle

It took some time for #BroncosCountry to fully embrace #BoNix as QB1. What game or moment was it that you knew the #Broncos found their #FranchiseQB 🧵 I’ll start: His first NFL win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers where he threw for over 200 yards and ran for a touchdown.

@AppliedTheology @ChasingSnyder He did not take two steps, nor did he make a football move prior to the defender coming in and ripping the ball. He’s in the process of completing his catch, which makes him expressly NOT a runner. They considered a knee down as down by contact, and did not for Cooks.

So here’s the thing about the Cooks/McMillian play and why Cooks doesn’t “catch it cleanly” (lol, he doesn’t catch it at all). Cooks is open. He has a step and plenty of separation. Because of the Allen under throw, Cooks has to slow down and wait. McMillian catches up.
eash@Ronnie2Kaapp

@ChasingSnyder How was the second one a joke? You realize cooks catches that clean in the hands none of that shit happens?

@avengemesatin @ChasingSnyder Key difference for me: Davante isn’t in the process of catching the ball here. It happens quickly, but he’s got the ball on his feet before he goes down, establishing possession. Then it’s just a runner who didn’t fumble until after his knee touches.

@WillStandridge 100%. You’re not writing research papers with three pages of sources as a pastor. You’re just trying to show people how to love Jesus, forgive others, and make disciples. You don’t need 30 sources for that.

I use commentaries so much less than I was led to believe going into ministry. There was no need to buy all those commentary sets in my early 20’s lol

@MrsDrPublius Hit the Durango silverton railroad while you’re down there. And if you are feeling feisty, rafting the Animas River is totally worth it

@RyanSchuiling @COSecofState @victormarx I’m not a pro or a campaign finance expert. I do use spreadsheets tho, and my question comes from experience. Shift a column down a cell and everything is thrown off. That’s a common spreadsheet problem, and easily fixed. I’d be concerned if there were material discrepancies.

Very knowledgeable source confirms, as stated in opening line of this response, this is HIGHLY unusual for @COSecofState office to grant a 'mulligan' for this filing. The original record is already out there. How will Team @VictorMarx explain *rampant* irregularities?

@paolini Loved the series when I was a teen, haven't read it since then. But I do kinda agree with the guy who you're responding to. Books 1-3 were awesome. I didn't like book 4 as much. Anyway, excited to hear you've got some more in the tank!

Dude ... it's been fifteen years. FIFTEEN. Give it a break. I published the ending that made the most sense, and you're going to see more of Eragon and Arya in future works, which—in any case—will be a much better version of their story. And that's all I have to say about that.
Markus Weißner@MarkusNer48891

@paolini Give the readers back what you stole when you ruined the ending of Book 4. Keep the distorted ending as the official timeline if you want, but make the ending you originally planned accessible to interested readers
