Over the past two days, we reconnected with parents trained in Peace and Values Education. Returning not just to follow up, but to listen, observe, and learn how peace is being lived out in their homes and communities.

Through peace & values education (PVE) we train teachers not just to teach about peace but to live it. Educators we trained this week deepened their knowledge on PVE while also reconnecting w/ their own inner peace. Because educators shape more than minds, they shape communities.

Held under the theme “Empowering Educators to Prepare Students for the Complex Challenges of Tomorrow,” the conference brings together global scholars, education leaders, and policymakers to share research, innovations, and policy insights aimed at building inclusive and sustainable education systems. The event is taking place from May 14–16, 2025, at the Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village (KCEV), and is hosted by the University of Rwanda – College of Education (@UR_CoE) in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation (@MastercardFdn) through its Leaders in Teaching (LIT) Program.
