@FBAFelon @AmazonASGTG @amznsellerhelp We got blocked from selling converse but so did everybody else. Doubt its what he is talking about
English

🚨🚨 A group of sellers was blocked from selling shoes around mid-October and remains blocked.
Anyone in this situation, let us know.

@SaulSellsStuff "Half of retail price is competive" and we will not show customers the buy box if you dont bend to that
Thinking about how insane this is makes my blood boil
Can open a case, point to the brands site, and nothing.
English

@ArbitrageOps A lot of crap is broken but this is my number one issue.
We can adjust a lot, switch to FBM, source more consistent products, dial in on customer messaging, etc.
Just no way to combat this if Amazon arbitrarily chooses a number.
English

@ArbitrageOps OTDR accuracy is abysmal for some reason - as long as trackings are valid it doesn’t really seem to matter
English

You guys have probably noticed a change in the Buy Box algorithm. Amazon heavily favoring price over everything else (including delivery times).
This is why you are seeing more FBM sellers steal buy box.
Amazon has realized it's customers are no longer loyal to anything but price. All the other platforms have caught up.
This is pushing sellers into unprofitable territory and they are leaving in droves. Amazon is blowing the biggest lead in history
Only fix is to start prioritizing sellers to the point they dont need to sell elsewhere
English

@mattvandy6 90% of our posts are heres a shitty thing amazon is doing, here's how you get around it.
consider thinking about them instead of insta hating
English

@ArbitrageOps If you're winning good job lol. Sorry I assumed you were just crying again.
English

@mattvandy6 how is this cope im running laps around FBA sellers paying 2x in storage fees, getting reimbursed at cost for lost and damaged inventory, and with return rates 2-3x higher
English

@ecommerit I think that was the case but other platforms have very much caught up
policy times cant be abused as easily, walmart can fulfill faster, amazon no longer seen as cheapest
its early but things are changing
for first part

@TheVillage_AMZ we price above FBM sellers specifically because of the bump in bb due to delivery times FBA sales have slowed vs our FBM sales and we lose buy box to these fbm sellers more consistently now
English

@ArbitrageOps Is there any proof of this? Because I haven't been seeing this at all.
Also, I would argue most customers shopping on amz have higher marginal utility for time/convenience than for money at price differences of a few percentage points. Which, is what the bb has always reflected
English

@JeffSendsIt possibly anecdotal for us but..

English

@ArbitrageOps Seeing the opposite. We sell most of our items in BB at a higher price than lower priced sellers especially against FBM sellers.
English

@ArbitrageOps Great time to do 0 day and add imaginary fulfillment locations across the country and cook as an FBM seller

@ArbitrageOps I can’t say I’m seeing this, at all. What are you seeing?

@ChrisPotter361 Everyone knows it's impossible to score a wholesale account without flashing a Rolex
English

Slapping your logo on the side of your boat doesn’t make it a business expense.
Suggesting your clothes are “work uniforms” doesn’t make them a business expense.
Claiming your dog is a “guard dog” and writing off pet food isn’t a business expense.
Always ask yourself, is this ordinary and necessary to run your business, and in the pursuit of income?
If not, the IRS will get you eventually.
English

@njelozu mix of a lot of things.
listings get screwed up
used returns get marked as fulfillable
amazon sends out products in plastic bags
customers know they can get away with murder when item has been fulfilled by amazon
English

@ArbitrageOps Why? Are the fulfillment centers screwing up the shipping or product somehow? Or is it because people think returning an item to a merchant is more of a hassle..
English

@RogueDarren id be entirely fba if that was the case. Wouldnt tell my worst enemy to get into shoes in 2025 lmao
English

I'm 99.6% FBA, and my return rate for 2025 is 3 3%.
But I sell zero shoes or apparel.
Arbitrage Ops@ArbitrageOps
FBA vs FBM return rate over the last 3 months It's a joke at this point. If you're sending money to Amazon fulfillment centers at this point you're lighting money on fire
