@dhdfggxp11524 @1piecekun @Mortdog Wukong is indeed more tanky than swain and will survive a lot longer than him, taking this into consideration, maybe read eternal pact one more time.

@1piecekun @Mortdog you're absolutely right, he has Eternal Pact and gives all the items to Swain lol... Swain has to drain 145 mana and Wukong 60 mana, WK not only gives more mana to Ahri because he cast more than Swain he also tanks more because of the passive, huge mistake and talking about skill

Played a quick ranked game before work and managed to secure a 1st with this board (Ionia was Gold). Didn't hit Ahri3 until 6-2 but she was great to get to 9 off of. As a player, I've REALLY enjoyed this patch...so much so I want to play more than work which is weird for me!

@PiemontiAndrea if blink variants are gone, broodscale feels like a great deck again. Shame it's hated out so easily since jeskai gets to feast on it if it gets popular enough.

tried to solve the Affinity vs Neoform duel deck meta, and kinda got rewarded with a trophy. Unsure on anything, but I like Broodscale (and vexing bauble). Good thing none plays jeskai anymore!

bbc.com/news/articles/… Great time for there to be two US pro tours back to back, making it impossible for me to defer and actually play. Ah well, maybe it's time to update policy? @PlayMTG

@sonkerz @PiemontiAndrea I used to think similarly to this, before actually playing in open decklist events. They really do play significantly better, since you don't need to guess what type of deck your opponent is playing nearly as much. It just leads to more real games of magic being played.

@PiemontiAndrea I may be in the minority here, but open decklists takes away so much skill from the game. As a brewer or innovator you may be able to gain a slight edge, open decklists nullifies that completely.

After one month of playtesting for an open decklist event, switching back to closed decklist feels like going back to stone age. Why every event is not open decklist?! It’s so much better for the game!

@PiemontiAndrea I really like lab broodscale, do feel like unholy heat and especially firespout are very necessary for beating energy. The mana is probably just impossible though.

trophy #14 trying Mychospawns in Broodscale. I will likely rerun the list as I liked the configuration so far. Today I also tried to play Labs + red cards, but couldn't play my spells most of the games.

@hutchinson ''they tend to reject extremes'' How can you say that when looking at the current president of your country

Between 40-60% of the country are normies. They do not follow political news closely & are not ideologically rigid. These people ultimately determine what our government looks like & they tend to reject extremes. They tend towards the center. That’s why they’re heavily courted.
Nathan J Robinson@NathanJRobinson

Why does "expand the tent" always mean the left has to endorse right-wing Democrats and never that the center has to endorse socialists like Mamdani

Defund the police wasn’t stupid because it was bad messaging, it was stupid because it was stupid. “I want to disavow and condemn all political violence in the United States, but I want the President to do it first so I know I’m not getting baited by the reprehensible conservatives for the 100th time” isn’t stupid because it’s the most comically easy position in the world to defend because it’s sane and reasonable. Any rational person would go “oh, yeah, of course, the president should absolutely and unequivocally disavow violence.” The only ones who reject this are those who want to see violence explicitly disavowed on one side and implicitly encouraged on the other. I want to disavow violence, but condemnation of violence only happens when everyone does it, otherwise it’s a meaningless gesture that just fuels their self-righteousness and pushes them further down the path to war. I want to disavow violence, but I’m no longer going to do it alone.
Hutch@hutchinson

@theghostly010 If you heard the far left say that MAGA was going to call them extremists anyways so they shouldn’t have to reconsider “defund the police” as a slogan, and you thought that was stupid, then you’ll understand why it is also stupid to apply it here.

@Mengu09 In the end MH2 did end up being a very good set for modern overall. Obviously there were some outliers, but all things considered the set did far more good than bad for the format. I can't say the same for MH3.

@claudiohmtg IMO- Into the flood maw is fair vapor snag or chain of vapor. Boseiju is one of the better land designs in recent memory. I think you are confusing safety valves with player agency.

People talk very little about how much harm these cards have done to the game. Safety valves don't work anymore because every deck operating on some unfair angle just has a get out of jail free card that is just a good card.

@Kevin_Fornari @lunaloveee8 @claudiohmtg Yu-gi-oh is incredibly tutor heavy compared to pretty mcuh every mtg deck, so where limiting a strong card in yugioh is more of a split between nerfing consistency, and actively limiting how many times someone can tutor it out of their deck. In magic its just consistency and rng.

@lunaloveee8 @claudiohmtg I came from Yu-Gi-Oh! I'd be super interested in seeing MTG do a limited list (you can only have 2 in your deck). IMO, Temporary Lockdown is giga toxic for Standard, but at limit 1-2, could make the meta even better🤠

@tensa710 @SaffronOlive ''dress down effects are not that common'' you're just wrong though, Tishana's Tidebinder and Unable to Scream are currently very commonly played in standard, showing up in UR prowess and UB tempo(the two most played decks in the format)

@Arcbounded @SaffronOlive I ofc realize this and just simply disagree, this rule didn't need to change for them to be viable in the capacity that they are. Dress down effects are not that common, and the interaction made sense and isn't overpowered. My opinion.

@tensa710 @SaffronOlive there's already a massive downside to the saga creatures, most of them only get to attack 1-2 times before they die on their own. The intention by wizards is obvious, they dont want them to be weak to even more forms of removal than they already are.

@Arcbounded @SaffronOlive I know that, but I just think that's how it should work, the creatures being sagas is supposed to be a powerful effect but also a downside, things like this happen all the time, if you dress down a construct it does as well

@tensa710 @SaffronOlive The change wasn't made because of understanding or complications, but because of the new saga creatures released in the final fantasy set. Under the old rule, they would be destroyed by cards like Unable to Scream, and Dress Down would be a complete wipe of them

@SaffronOlive Hate this change so much, it's not that hard to understand that sagas have state based actions based on their final chapter being removed thus being 0 and sacrificed, and it doesn't uncomplicate things as now this layers interaction happens

@Robobwhite @Ajelenbogen You can consign thassa trigger, it doesnt matter, thassa is just the best out of the 3 wincons by a slight margin. some lists even opt to run grapeshot main, jace side, with no thassa, there's no real difference.
