@TheMG3D My razer 5 button $60? Mouse lasted like 3 years, by comparison. Before that I had a tiny logitech mouse meant for portability, still working since 2012, it's what I use for my laptop now Not sure about speakers, monitors and other stuff though

@TheMG3D In my experience, yes. I only buy their cheaper stuff like keyboards and mice tbh. I've used the same $20 wired keyboard since 2012 with no issues, every button still works and I've used it HEAVILY. Mouse I've had since early 21, 20 buttons, heavy use, no issues so far :) $40

Are Logitech products good? I was looking for a new mouse and don’t want to get another Razor product with their stance on AI

Creators can easily avoid this by not using AI at all and instead using images of Shrek as placeholders. That way you can better see which assets still need to be finished, and if you don’t, nobody will notice. Though if you work any studio where they permit the use of AI, I advocate quitting at once because they don’t respect you.

Let this be a lesson to ALL studios that gamers don't want AI slop in their games. There will be refunds, negative reviews and blowback. Glad they're updating it, but it seems their spanish dub may also be AI. Lazy and extremely disrespectful to the players
Crimson Desert@CrimsonDesert_

We would like to address questions regarding the use of AI in Crimson Desert. During development, some 2D visual props were created as part of early-stage iteration using experimental AI generative tools. These assets helped us rapidly explore tone and atmosphere in the earlier phases of production. However, our intention has always been for any such assets to be replaced, following final work and review by our art and development teams, with work that aligned with our quality standards and creative direction. Following reports from our community, we have identified that some of these assets were unintentionally included in the final release. This is not in line with our internal standards, and we take full responsibility for it. We also acknowledge that we should have clearly disclosed our use of AI. While these tools were primarily used during early production, with the expectation that these assets would be replaced prior to release, we recognize that this does not excuse the lack of transparency. We sincerely apologize for these oversights. We are currently conducting a comprehensive audit of all in-game assets and are taking steps to replace any affected content. Updated assets will be rolled out in upcoming patches. In parallel, we are reviewing and strengthening our internal processes to ensure greater transparency and consistency in how we communicate with players moving forward.

@CrimsonDesert_ Honestly, its fine. You don't need to apologise. People are over reacting over this like crazy, ignore the hate mob, they have no interest in your game anyway. Crimson desert is a masterpiece. On that note, storage & control update when? :)

Oddly as a dev this kind of reassures me that spending time on things that seem like an 'extra detail' are actually being looked at by players, maybe not all players but it's still worthwhile to invest time into tiny environmental elements.

Two million players have begun their journeys into Crimson Desert, and some are starting to stumble into some concerning issues, including the presence of what may be AI-generated art assets. bit.ly/4sHqQhL

Becoming a skilled, experienced creative takes time and effort. We all start somewhere. What you call "mediocre" - we call "starting out" and "junior" and it's part of the journey. That there are tasks available to us at those novice skill levels is how we survive and learn and grow. Simple, inexpensive, or as you say "mediocre" assignments are the lower rungs of a ladder that takes us to mastery. If those tasks shift from beginner human creatives to AI generative software output what happens? Where do the experts of the future come from? What path do they get to take?
Nicole Behnam@NicoleBehnam

You think AI is replacing creativity when really it’s making mediocre output free and abundant, which means taste is now the only scarce resource.
