Robotic TME Rectal Cancer Surgery post Proton Beam Therapy for Rectal Cancer : Effect on surgical tissue planes - the Apollo Rectal Cancer (ARC) Programme at the @ApolloProton Cancer Centre. The Role of Proton Beam Therapy (PBT) in Gastrointestinal malignancy continues to evolve. We have used PBT in selected cases (esophageal and rectal cancer)with excellent results. This is a short clip of a recently performed Robotic Total Mesorectal Excision procedure for Low Rectal Cancer following PBT at our centre. The patient's tumour had a good response to PBT.
