Last week in Morocco, something powerful happened. Educators, practitioners, and civic leaders from across the MENA region came together for a conference centered on Holocaust education, memory, and confronting hatred together. Among those participating was Dr. Ari Gordon, AJC Director of Muslim-Jewish Relations. Funded in part by the @ClaimsCon, the program—organized by AJC, @AmericanSephard, and @OfficialMimouna —wasn’t just another event. It created a space to move beyond the silence and denial that is far too prevalent in our world. Amidst regional war, intergroup division, and rampant misinformation we promote critical thinking and human dignity through partnership. Because how we remember the past shapes how we build the future.

Yeshiva University’s Zysman Hall looks like a mosque. It’s a relic of the “Moorish” trend among Western Jews, which embraced Judaism’s “Oriental” roots and viewed Islam as a sister religion. Read in my @thedispatch piece: "A Muslim Walks into a Yeshiva" thedispatch.com/newsletter/dis…

Thank you to Yeshiva University, the world's flagship Jewish university, for hosting AJC. AJC Director of Muslim-Jewish Relations Dr. @AriMGordon and @CatoInstitute Senior Fellow @AkyolinEnglish joined the @schneierY Program for International Affairs for an intensive day of meetings and teaching sessions with students, faculty, and administrators @YUNews to better understand the history and current state of Muslim-Jewish interaction.

I recently spoke at @UWEauClaire, on a panel organized by the Menard Center for Constitutional Studies: "Meaningful Conversations on Middle East Peace: Global Perspectives and Pathways Forward.” With @AriMGordon & @AmnaUncensored. Video available here: cato.org/multimedia/med…

In a world yearning for coexistence, here stands a Jewish family with their babies from #Israel, offering dates to Palestinian and Israeli Muslims as they proceed to Al-Aqsa Mosque in #Jerusalem. This act of kindness lights up the Middle East we dream of, defying the divisive vision of radicals, including #Hamas.
