في الأسبوع الماضي في المغرب🇲🇦، وقع حدث ذو تأثير كبير. اجتمع معلّمون ومختصون وقادة مجتمعيون من مختلف أنحاء منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا في مؤتمر يركّز على التعليم عن المحرقة (الهولوكوست)، والذاكرة، والتصدي للكراهية معًا. وكان من بين المشاركين الدكتور آري جوردون، مدير العلاقات بين المسلمين واليهود في @ajcglobal. البرنامج، المموّل جزئيًا من @ClaimsCon والمنظَّم من قبل @ajcglobal و@americansephard و@OfficialMimouna، أتاح مجالًا لتجاوز الصمت والإنكار المنتشرين على نطاق واسع في عالمنا. وفي خضم حرب إقليمية، وانقسامات مجتمعية، وانتشار واسع للمعلومات المضللة، نعمل على تعزيز التفكير النقدي وكرامة الإنسان من خلال التعاون، لأن كيفية تذكّرنا للماضي ترسم ملامح المستقبل.

La semaine dernière au Maroc, quelque chose de puissant s’est produit. Des éducateurs, des praticiens et des leaders associatifs de toute la région se sont réunis pour une conférence centrée sur l’éducation à la Shoah, la mémoire et la lutte contre la haine. Parmi les participants se trouvait le Dr Ari Gordon, directeur des relations judéo-musulmanes à l’AJC. Financé en partie par @ClaimsCon, le programme — organisé par l’AJC, @AmericanSephard et @OfficialMimouna — n’était pas un simple événement. Il a créé un espace pour aller au-delà du silence et du déni qui sont bien trop prévalents dans notre monde. Au milieu de la guerre régionale, des divisions et de la désinformation galopante, nous promouvons la pensée critique et la dignité humaine par le biais de partenariats. Parce que la manière dont nous nous souvenons du passé façonne la manière dont nous construisons l’avenir.

Last week in Morocco, something powerful happened. Educators, practitioners, and civic leaders from across the MENA region came together for a conference centered on Holocaust education, memory, and confronting hatred together. Among those participating was Dr. Ari Gordon, AJC Director of Muslim-Jewish Relations. Funded in part by the @ClaimsCon, the program—organized by AJC, @AmericanSephard, and @OfficialMimouna —wasn’t just another event. It created a space to move beyond the silence and denial that is far too prevalent in our world. Amidst regional war, intergroup division, and rampant misinformation we promote critical thinking and human dignity through partnership. Because how we remember the past shapes how we build the future.
