Wow, what a journey! So excited to publish and share our findings about residency recruitment interviewers! 🎉Couldn't have done it without the most amazing team -- @LahiaYemaneMD and @crassbac.

It's almost time for #PAS2025 so a throwback 📸 from #PAS2023 We just had lunch to celebrate going from poster ➡️ publication in Academic Peds 🎉 Fantastic work by @ArishnaPatelMD to publish her #MedEd scholarly concentration project! 📲 : pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/40254053/

Never thought I'd be taking field trips in residency, but here we are! I am so grateful to @annmingyeh for such an engaging and informative day as part of my Integrative Medicine elective. Extra bonus points for hanging out with some fun fellows too. 🤩

We had a fantastic time on our integrative medicine field trip with @annmingyeh! She taught us about plant based milks, probiotics, supplements, and teas! Did you know that @StanfordChild has an integrative medicine fellowship and a rotation for residents?!? Highly recommend!

If you trust us to put a tube in your kiddo’s throat when they can’t breathe due to COVID, then please trust us when we say the vaccine is (data-proven) SAFE and EFFECTIVE. #getyourshot #12andolder

For my next chapter, I am honored to be serving as a pediatrician at a LA County clinic for DCFS-involved children and to be an inaugural Medical Justice in Advocacy Fellow through the @AmerMedicalAssn and @SatcherHealth! Looking forward to the work ahead!

@AlokPatelMD The amount of times I pulled out dhokla or kichdi while my friends ate their PB&J's is unreal. Not to mention the number of "what is that?" and weird looks I got during lunch.

My mom used to pack me leftover Indian food for school lunches. Other kids made fun of me so much, I used to try to hide what I was eating. Now, I see people wait in line to pay $8.99 for a curry bowl to eat while sipping a turmeric latte. #AAPIHeritageMonth is every month.

@mattyfred_ Knowing general trends (HR&RR decrease & BP increases w/ age) is often sufficient in the test question setting to guesstimate. I often look at the rest of the question stem (it should give you a sense of "sick" v "not sick") and then see if the vitals make a bit more sense.

What is the best way to learn pediatric vitals? I’m sure there’s a system in a clinical setting, but every time I’m ready a question stem I have no idea what is normal for age 🤷‍♂️

@rach_gerald Make a schedule and/or set goals, then assume you'll only complete ~75%. Prioritize some free/gym time every day (that time off will benefit you more than trying to cram more info). There is no single "right-way" to do dedicated so don't compare yourself to others! You got this!

@simplyserotonin When I applied to med school, I retook the MCAT last August (which, in retrospect, may have been a bit late...since it took time for my score to come back) and got into med school that year. Anyway, I think June is totally fine!

Is taking the MCAT in late June too late?

Name a word that almost always causes unnecessary confusion in medicine. I'll go first: lethargic. 🤔

@rayvuhtea Feb or March is often a time when interns are starting to feel extra tired so a break around this area could be super nice! But I agree with the others, spacing them out is a great general goal!
