Governor Hobbs and the Arizona Delegation kick off Day 1 with a roundtable discussion at the @USChamber. As USMCA negotiations begin with Canada and Mexico, we showcased Arizona’s position as a stronghold for American trade, commerce, and national security.

Honored to welcome our partners from Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and Kumamoto, Japan, to strengthen collaboration across high‑tech sectors. With advanced TSMC operations in all three, Arizona, Kaohsiung, and Kumamoto share a unique bond centered on innovation and supply‑chain resiliency.

La comitiva viajó desde Washington, D.C., para supervisar la modernización y expansión del Puerto de Entrada San Luis I. Durante el recorrido, fueron recibidos por el Director del Puerto de @CBPArizona, Chris Leon, y la empresa a cargo del proyecto @henselphelps, para evaluar esta obra de más de 350 millones de dólares. Una infraestructura transformadora que redefinirá la dinámica de la mega-región Sonora-Arizona. 🇺🇸🇲🇽 ¿Qué significa este proyecto para nuestra comunidad? 🚗 Menos tiempos de espera: Duplicamos la capacidad de procesamiento de vehículos ligeros hacia el norte (¡de 8 a 16 carriles!). 🚨 Mayor seguridad: Implementación de tecnología de última generación para combatir el tráfico de drogas e identificar actividades de alto riesgo. 🚶‍♀️ Cruces peatonales ágiles: Incremento de 10 a 14 carriles de inspección peatonal. 🏢 Infraestructura de vanguardia: Nuevas instalaciones administrativas y de inspección comercial para fortalecer la misión de CBP. Chairman Joshua Rubin led a productive week in D.C., delivering testimony before USTR on the USMCA renegotiation, regional development, China vs. Mexico value, supply-chain integration, and border infrastructure. He also met with congressional offices and advanced FTZ outreach.
