That's not how the law works. You can't premeditate being attacked by someone else full stop. The threshold for whether the force is justified is proportionality and whether he provoked the confrontation. Provoked is a term defined by case law - it doesn't mean just upsetting someone. They could never charge him with first degree murder which is what premeditation would enable.

If this is real, Chud will have no self-defense claim and instead will look at potentially pre-meditated murder if the guy he shot didn’t/doesn’t make it

That's not even close to right. You can't premeditate someone else attacking you and the relevant threshold for whether he was justified in using force is if he intentionally provoked a violent confrontation and then the proportionality of the force. Also, strong chance the tweets don't see court because of exactly what you described, they're very persuasive in making him seem guilty but they don't relate to the actual event at all. That evidence is therefore highly prejudicial and that probably outweighs it's probative value.

@LegacyProgramVP 100% right. Despite the stand your ground law in TN, this might be the deciding factor. If the prosecution can convince a jury that this proves premeditation, it would break his self defense claim. Without it he would probably walk free.

That's not true. Evidence has standards for admission like relevance and one is whether the evidence is prejudicial or probative. Dude here says evidence is relevant because it's related to the crime and that's possible; but it's also possible it's more prejudicial than probative because you cannot premeditate your own self defense. That's not the only reason his social media history might not see the courtroom but it's the strongest imo.
